Thanks to ExpressVPN for sponsoring. Go to Wild: About google netflixing games,
Movies are like 2hours long, people watch them without dedication, just to pass time for some...
Games are up to +100hours long , people need dedication to finish them, and i know true gamers have this dedication
Let-s say you are a normal 20 yo gamer, you would game for like 10hours a week due to obligations/work/studies
This means you need about 10 weeks to finish one game, and ONLY ONE,
Subscription costs like 20$/month? This is if they are generous cuz netflixing games needs devices it costs way more than netflixing movies
This means you can spend 60$ to netflix a game and finish it or spend 60$ to have a game forever and play it whenever you want
We are talking just simple things we are not including internet issues and costs of creating this system that would probably require more than 20$ a month, plus this would create a generation of plastic gamers who play big title games without dedication just to profit from subscription lol you can already see how bad of an idea it is

I'd say Google Stadia has potential for a more casual gaming audience. An audience that has a VERY solid internet connection but isn't to into getting all the technical hardware of how games run. Overall in the long run, this kinda tech is not good for consumers that want to own their games and hardware that can run those games. Steam is only a little better cause while the games you buy aren't physical, any game that doesn't require an internet connection is yours forever and you only pay for what you want to play rather than buying into a subscription that doesn't offer a library of games a consumer might want. I would use the Humble Bundle subscription and after only a few months I had more games than I can play in a lifetime and all for a super low price and get discounts for titles on their store. Basically owning games physically>owning games digitally>not owning the games or hardware at all.

Regarding Stadia... No. Just, No. Not a good idea. Not going to work. Not going to be supported. No. The idea of using a system that depends on network connection and with the promise of games that powerful and data consuming, it's not going to work. I swear, if the day comes that we all have no choice but to be required to be online to even play solo games, I'm done. I'll be satisfied with what I have.

I-m from Florida and am not surprised. I-m actually more of a PS4 and Nintendo fan (still haven-t been able to afford a Switch but love my Wii U). I-ve only been able to play online with one or two of my friends because almost everyone I know is on XBox (or just doesn-t own the same games that I do). I had a 360 in the past because Halo but never went back to it again after that system died on me.

For the console map I think many people bought xbox ones when they first came out because they enjoyed the 360 but instead of selling them and buying new ones when it wasn't what they wanted, they just kept them. At least that's what I think happened for the most part.

Happy weekend, folks! Thanks for watching. Expect a 'Before You Buy' video for Sekiro this weekend. Also, if you're at PAX East in Boston soon, come say hi! We'll be doing a meetup on Saturday at 11am and our live show on Sunday at 3:30pm. We'll have stickers! lol

Looking at that map and the fact that I live in New Jersey I am the only one out of all of my friends who plays on an Xbox I find that map to be inaccurate but what do I know because I don-t even play Xbox anymore I-m on PC now

I just started with ExpressVPN. It-s really good. Easy to setup. Easy to use. I-m sometimes in places with public Wi-Fi and I feel safer using a VPN. It-s good for keeping hackers and government hacks from lurking in your stuff.

That map seems suspect there-s like 92 million ps4s out there at lest 50 million of that is in the us and there-s data that suggest Xbox hasn-t even made it to 50 million in total world wide

I have a VR headset and my pc is not power enough to have a good experience. Google stadia would change everything in PC world if we can play any game without spend 3k in a PC.
