If you're a PC gamer and you use Steam, you'll probably understand a lot of these problems and common experiences Rudolf: Point not mentioned: I HATE the constant updates! OnThe Steam player, and games! Sometimes you want to switch your PC on and just play something, but no you first have to download a new Steam launcher update. Okay now can I play my game that I bought a year ago and was super fine with and been playing?, no I first have to wait for an update for it to download. Then I play it, and the game is EXACTLY the same!! By this time I'm not even keen to play games any more. It sucks!

Occasionally you'll actually find games that ARE discounted to free. I picked up SteamWorld Dig 2 for free, for example. These takes are spot on. I love Steam because, as you say, it's all in one place with one launcher. I too hate it when there's another launcher.

Steam has made a freaking ton of money from me. Plus, hard drive makers have made a ton from trying to keep up freaking games I have bought! My back catalog is freaking huge!
I have 1261 in games!

Steam is like an abusive spouse but rather than physically assault you they simply shower you with love until you die from too much love.
