i ALWAYS have these three rifles hot keyed for my sniper and swap between them depending on the situation. again this is from my experience but i would not advise the varmint rifle.

Leonidas' spear in Assassin's Creed Odyssey. If you play the game right, after killing your first few Cultists Alexios really starts to become less human and more of a god. The game got a lot of hate bc of difficulty, and I think that most players just forgot to upgrade the spear. With upgrades the game is super fun on Nightmare difficulty

Decent list. I think, I-m Dark Souls, maybe replace Greatsword of Artorias with the Great Scythe, a truly overpowered weapon that has never been patched. Also, just my experience but the fully upgraded pistol in RE:4 is absolutely nuts. Vastly increased critical chance on headshots means heads exploding for days.

I've upgraded the varmint rifle and it's useful!
Meanwhile, almost literally every other gun except the bb gun is better. You've probably never used exploding rounds with an anti-materiel rifle.

Can't really say that I've played too many games with this mechanic before, so my knowledge is limited. I can say, however, that I remember the Kingdom Key growing to be a pretty potent weapon throughout Kingdom Hearts 3, it was never swapped out from my equipment slots when I played, at least.

Im not sure as it qualifice but Lazercraftwerk from Wolfenstein : new oder , starts as prety crypi gun but as you finding upgrages (moust specifikly one what make you can shoot all shots at onec! and one what can recharge your gun to full even in backpack), it ge Absud.

For leveling the Ebony Blade, becoming blood-kin to one Orc stronghold makes you blood-kin with all of them. Complete the handful of quests surrounding those strongholds (or don't, whatever) and you can power up the weapon significantly by wiping out all 4 camps.

How bad is the weakest weapon the Straight Sword Hilt one may ask, well if you go bare handed you out dps the damn thing, there's a reason why the people who didn't got black firebombs as starting gift barefist him when they have to!

No laser gun from from wolfenstein?? When you got it for the first time it is used only for cutting fences but later you upgrade it the weapon transforms into a massive high tech weapon that one shots literally everything.
