10 pc hacks & tricks you probably didn't know
video description
(No, it's not a performance booster, it just allows you to elevate process priority above other applications running and, in effect, allowing them to take first grab at resources. And if you have more than 4 cores, you can also assign cores to that application. For example only allowing it to use the physical cores instead of all of them)
4:01 Just a note here, Game Mode disables automatic windows updates when it detects what it assumes is a game running. You know, that -woops, gonna restart your entire computer now because you didn't click postpone- thing that can occasionally happen mid game? Not saying you shouldn't turn it off. Just adding a bit of information that by turning it off you are basically telling windows it can do what it likes in the background. That's what Game Mode does, when it detects a game it suspends several of Windows background functions in favor of the game.

10. it's a personal preference not a hack.
9. Overclocking your monitors refresh rate is a lot more dangerous than overclocking your CPU and GPU. Straight up bad info you gave there.
8. Task manager on top... 1st good one.
7. Never had issues with it. Instead of turning it off simply don't mess with it until you have issues.
6. I know games that perform better in windowed mode. Also it prevents a lot troubles when you get lockups or if you alt-tab. Also all games are automatically given a high priority in Windows.
5. If you want to play on quality settings then V-sync is the way to go. IF you want speed then turn it off. Frame capping is there simply to reduce the GPU load. That menu's for instance don't run over 9000 fps... I'm looking at you New World.
4. Always do this on a per game base and never in Windows. Don't fix anything that isn't broken by default.
3. See no 4 explanation
2. Biggest reason for input lag are bad monitors and using wireless stuff.
1. 2nd good explanation.
Overall not one of your best videos.

God, mouse acceleration. One of the first things I learned to turn off, luckily. And luckily most games now days have it off by default. But, boy, back when most PC games ended up being out of touch console ports, devs really loved to turn it on by default. I don't remember if most mouse manufacturers turn it on by default in the device settings. Any mouse I've bought in the last 5 years has had it off by default, but I've only bought gaming mice.
Alright, I don't mean to be a jerk, but these tips all seem pretty basic. Not ones -average- PC gamers don't know. Maybe new and casual PC gamers don't know these, but anyone who's moderately into it will probably know these. Or maybe I'm just a huge nerd and completely out of touch with the -average- PC gamer.

Fun tip for task manager if you don't have always on top enabled, and run into the issue mentioned in the video. Open task manager, make sure it's the active application, then hit alt, arrow left, arrow down, enter. Hitting alt in pretty much any application will open the menu bar, and you can navigate with arrows and select with enter. So doing hit alt will open the menu, left to get to options, down to open that submenu, then enter since always on top is the first option to enable it.

Simple thing that can help not always but has for me in the past is to install and update your monitor drivers not your graphic drivers which should be updated too but the your monitors drivers are always overlooked and it does help performance especially if you are running a Gsync monitor and manufacturer updates something it can help, it did for me.

you need to include not using VPN for faster connection, its a common myth among younger players that it will make your connection faster, or minimize latency. if anything they'll just slow your connection because of the additional encryption on your traffic lol..
maybe it works on very specific scenarios but not everytime.

I agree that most booster programs are trash, but ..i realy do like Razor Cortex ...it just closes programs i dont need and clean the RAM. All my games run smother when i use razor cortex.
Its boosting automaticly when i start a game and it stopsboosting automaticly when i close the game ..its a good thing :)

Yeah I'll play my Xbox so I don't have to do any of that -
It works out the box as advertised.
It says 4K 120, damn right that's what I got.
I don't have to 'fix' anything because nothing is broken or disabled.
If it works in game its already turned on and if it doesn't it's already off.

5:46 i prefer windowed borderless and even use a tool called borderless gaming to help me do it with older games because i actually use my other monitors while gaming. in fullscreen mode it will minimize the game every time you try to do something on your other screens.
