10 worst microtransactions in recent games

Here are some recent games with terrible microtransactions and pay to win mechanics in games. Hopefully we see less of these in future games Shane: your information on SC is again incorrect... most of those ships apart from the Polaris, is the only one that isn't in the game yet, however is still being created and prepped for release.... and while there are a few ships planned, that aren't in game, the -game- is still a pre-alpha tech demo that just happens to be a playable version... which has evolved in leaps and bounds since early days... no ships in SC are even close to being super powerful or pay to win, in a not even possible pay to win... the way they get around the pay to win is those ships will need a crew... you will need more than just 1 person or more often more than a 2 person crew... otherwise even a small ship can best a hulking ship...
and most of the ships you shown in your clip aren't super powerful... most of those have their own strengths but also their own weaknesses and each are great in the role they are designed for but not so great in other roles.

Please don't let all the star citizen shit talking deter you from at least trying the game.
1st. Soo many ships are already available and absolutely incredible.
2nd. The game is in alpha, doesn't have a publisher, and gets all its funding from the community. (save for one year or quarter or something where the funding couldnt sustain the employees so they partnered with a private investor for a 1 time investment)
3rd. All the ships will be available in game at launch without needing to spend any real money.
4th. The game is very cheap to start, $45 gets you a starter ship and full access to the game.
5th. It has many free to play events throughout the year where you can try it and even get access to some of the ships on screen that -might never exist- completely free.
It's a mind blowing experience and I'm always wishing more people get the chance to experience it.

I wonder if Gameranx will actually do some real comprehensive research on Star Citizen before they make another video about it. Otherwise it will become clear to me that Gameranx is purposefully pretending to be ignorant. I find it very hard to believe that Gameranx knows about the Legatus Pack but never took the time to research the reasons why it was created. I suspect they knew when they made it, but they cared more about the narrative they wanted to push. Anyway thanx for the free publicity as the game continued to grow even more after this BS video.

All but one of those SC ships you showed are flyable now. They have the words FLIGHT READY under their description.
And you can buy ALL those flyable ships in game, with in game credits.
Also, you released this right in between 2 player events that basically let you fly some ships for FREE, and between some in game events that throw in game currency at you for you to buy the ships you like yourself.
Your info would have been correct... in 2017.

Saying Star Citizen does not have flyable ships and most likely never will is a lie. Hopefully, you will consider making a correction to this since it would adversely reflect on the respectability and honesty people would expect from your content. I can accurately say you are lying since I play the game and have well over 30 ships I can use each day that I play. Ships I bought for real money, as well as ships purchased in-game.

Literally almost all the ships you shoed for Star Citizen are flyable in game today. It's also not pay to win, it's pay to skip considering all but ships that release in the same patch are available to buy with in game credits. There's a lot of valid critique about Star Citizen, but a majority of the ships they've shown off are now flyable or being currently built and viewable on the roadmap.

The fact that you got your section on Star Citizen just so incredibly wrong, knowing that it would have taken you 5 minutes of research to learn that your assumptions were wrong..makes me question everything you do.
Why wouldn't I, or anyone else, think that's indicative of the level of research you put into your work? Why would I attribute any value to your opinions/assertions?

I watch a lot of gameranx videos, but Star Citizen is a game I know about and the section in this game is so full or errors it's unreal. This was either blatant lying or a simple lack of research, but either way all credibility went out the window here. One lost sub if this is the level of effort these guys put in, it basically made. Me doubt anything they say.

star citizen will never fully release and if it did the game will be obsolete by the time it does they keep moving the goal post and have been dragging ass intentionally to just ride that money train without having anything near a finished product and the sc fan boy legion goes ape shit when you say that cause they don't want to admit they've been played

I've been watching Gameranx for a while now, and I was disappointed to learn about the lies in this video about Star Citizen. You can fly damn near every ship that you showed in the video. Why didn't you do like 30 seconds of research on the game, instead of just throwing it in the fire because it doesn't interest you? Just lazy...
