This frees Cory to work on other things (fingers crossed for The Order 1887! God of War controls and melee combat with guns and magic! Yes f & g please)

Will the game feature the rpg stats based systems for equipment/build and enemies? Those were easily the worst part of the 2018 game.
In enemies, it made them inconsistent because some enemies had higher hp than others while being the same enemy type which just introduced unnecessary and annoying guess work.
In equipment/build/runes, it made so that you could only choose one or the other at any given time and had to navigate through menus to change any part of it which made it very restrictive. Especially given how certain enemies are best dealt with certain attacks. Having to navigate through menu for every little bit of it ended up being a huge hassle.

I kind of want to see some sort of resource management mechanics in ragnarok's combat, where the player has gauges/bars that they have to maintain, but can also refill mid-combat. Maybe something like the glory kills/chainsaw in the newer doom games, restoring health with finishers. Something like prioritizing runic attacks and giving players a way to speed up their cooldowns in the middle of combat. I liked that you could pull off a variety of attacks by switching fists to axe to blades in gow 2018, maybe they could invest more in that mechanic?

the 20 hours main story is sad news to me definitely expected more much more considering that they have recently said that the game is larger than they originally anticipated and that they where debating between 2 games or 3 games for the Norse saga so if that's true the game has undoubtedly been badly cut since 2018 was near to 20 hours of main story itself

I'm pretty frustrated that I can't play the next gen games because a PS5 is just too expensive and unavailable. I'll wait because I don't want to play these beautiful games on a 2014 PS4
I bought the 4k, 120hz tv with vrr and great quality of a Sony TV. but damn it I need the SYSTEM TOO and I refuse to pay too much above msrp

So, I ll say it.
GOW 2018 got me back into Norse mythology when it came out on PC, but it was a bit boring to me.
When I got my ps5, I got AC Valhalla and that actually took the cake for me.
In a way, I hope that combat will flow like it does in Valhalla, but either way, I m still playing it

I love how we get a much more accurate depiction of Thor after so much MCU. Ginger, angry, has a correctly shaped hammer, and looks like a god who eats and drinks a lot. I'm sad he got so much backlash because he doesn't look blonde and skinny enough just because people don't care about mythology.

Alot of this sounds very intriguing. I'm most curious as to how they'll portray Tyr, he's a complex figure in the Old Norse faith. A warrior true, but also one of the Gods of Law. And his relationship with Fenrir is a topic of divided opinion as well. So I wonder how that will work out.

I m really excited and curious to see what Santa Monica s take on the new realms we get to explore in this one, especially Asgard, i m also excited to hear that there ll be more stuff to do in the previous realms, can t wait to get my hands on this one!

Played every god of war from the first one at its release in 2005. My absoulte favourite game series of all time. the transition its made has been breathtaking. I for the life of me cannot wait for this game.

Man I couldn t defeat one damn Valkyrie I know two of them will give me fits! Lol this game is soo good I already know it won t disappoint unfortunately my ps5 broke so I m now on Xbox series x I ll be missing this game

I so rarely preorder games. This on though. Had to. My PS4 says it will download on the 1st but I'm assuming the day one patch won't download until midnight on the 9th? Which is another 18gb on top of the 90
