Top 20 new third person games of 2022

Something about the added complexity didn't mesh with me. I loved the added movement and the scenery is gorgeous. But I felt like it suffered from an issue so many modern games do. They are all just so damn cluttered. There's 100 different things of UI to pay attention to. 500 different kinds of collectibles. All these different skill sets and trees to manage from the pause menu.
Games are giving too many options and going to indepth. I'm a busy guy and sometimes can go weeks between playing the game again. When you come back after a bit of a break it's all just so convoluted. It's something I think the most recent God of War nailed. There's enough intricacy if you want it. But you can play it very simple with just the 2 weapons and it's equally as effective.

I love open world action RPGs like Witcher 3, AC Odyssey, Amalur, and Dragon s Dogma. It s been years since one of their like has come around on Xbox and only a couple on other platforms. Every game I think I might like turns out to be just another souls-like trend chaser. All of them. If you enjoy soulslikes that s great. I m honestly happy for you, but what about the rest of us? It feels like my kind of game doesn t exist anymore. It s like my favorite sub genre is dead or dying while everyone has to keep their lips firmly attached to Fromsoft s junk for fear of backlashes. I rarely play anything new for more than an hour or two unless I basically force myself. My connection to gaming and games journalists gets lesser by the week.

I don t agree with your ordering of these at all. I guess you were trying to hype up new upcoming games but are we really trying to rank some random half baked souls games. Just looking at them they look awful. I appreciate a good souls game but these random knock offs come on. Several of the horror ones mentioned also look pretty weak. Horizon should be much higher, I know not everyone has a PlayStation but horizons at least in the top 5 games of this year. I don t think it s number 1 but it s much better than thymesia or some of those other games. In general I feel this list could have been better

I will be so happy when Elden Rings eventually gets forgotten by mainstream gaming media. It was a good game, but it's been hyped up to be one of the greatest games of this generation when it essentially the same thing we've gotten from them with every game. It feels like they're playing the same game Call of Duty's developers did where people just ate it up because of the brand and developer attached to it. Elden Rings is number one for the same reason Fortnite was number one on every other list you come across like this. Lowest common denominator with no substance.

I came to see where Bannerlord got ranked, as the video s teaser image; was a little disappointed to see it relegated to the bonus section. I don t have the time I d like to dedicate to gaming, but picked it up the day it was available publicly as open access and have already sunken 750 hrs into it. Which is almost double the amount of time I sank into my last most played game, Skyrim. Bannerlord gameplay is so diverse, the combat is so satisfying, and the developer dedication to constantly evolving and improving it is unlike any level of dev support I have seen.

Also what's your fixation on saying all intensive purposes? Heard alot of that realizing it now. Games lately should be taking longer to complete and graphics cards businesses really need to stop making new generations of graphics cards at least extend their hiatus of sales 3 years apart so that people can catch up. The market is becoming unstable and everyone is being constantly crunched on their work efforts which results in shitty games.

I take issue with this list. Are these suppose to be ranked from least best to best? If so, how could you possibly rank Horizon Forbidden West worse than games that have not come out yet?
This is a good list of games, Elden Ring is definitely Goty but your title is misleading. A couple of these games have earned no acknowledgement yet.

The best games offer you both options, Mass effect fallout elder scrolls and the list goes on of games that allow you to do it either way instead of limiting you to one play style. I can't imagine they save a lot of money by limiting it to one or the other. It would be really nice if they made a game where you have complete camera control.

I played Sniper Elite 5 but i never finished the campaign. Me and my Friend had been doing it co op him being the host.
The reason i stopped is because for whatever reason the guest would have horrendous lag spikes whereas the Host would have the best possible connection/fps
So as you can imagine it got very annoying

The excuse that you can't just screw the Bayonetta 3 staff is b s. They've been paid. They also knew their boss was a scumbag just like everyone else. Don't just keep handing Platinum money because you think a game is more important than real life morality. That's as sucky as a person can get right there.

Been playing Sniper Elite 5 on PC since its available through PC GamePass and absolutely loving it! Faster paced shooters don't work well for me and I love stealth. Nothing more satisfying than clearing an entire SE level with all objectives without a single detection. Awesome list!

Widely reported Plague: Requiem clocks in at 15-20 hrs, which is around double the first game. I like to dilly dally and soak it all in, so I can add a few hours to that runtime. More original IP like plague, which are fairly grounded and non magical please.

I'm so pumped for Evil West. It looks like such a throwback to the games we would get in the early 2010's. I really hope it succeeds because we need more triple A games like this. Just a fun and silly game that doesn't take it's self too seriously.

here my take about what GoW ragnarok gonna end up: Remember those Painting or whatever when kratos and atreus Enter tyr's temple that shown different type of country like Egypt, Japan, and etc. i really hope kratos end up in that egypt or japan.
