4 new silent hill games, resident evil 4 remake gameplay & more

Silent Hill F. as someone who can't get enough of the Fatal Frame games it definitely looks interesting to me. The strong Japanese aesthetic does make me wary though, where's the Silent Hill in a Silent Hill game?

Browsed all the comments 2 check if any1 would mention the obvious thing missing from all of this.
There's /still/ no way of playing a REAL ver. of SilentHills/SilentHillsPT. Just partially-emulated bits. Which, are ALL w/o the BEST parts, nearer to the end & it's just the ordinary parts(maybe the bathroom some-what, at most.
So, are they just gonna leave that unavail. for the rest of all time?
Personally, until they make Hills/PT available again, somehow & in /some/ format, I'm not gonna stop complaining about how F-'ed-up it is they haven't. Nor, will I stop lamenting that THE most satisfying experience in all of SH(to me, at least, might as well have never-been. Honestly, the way it's going, we would have ALL been better-off, if it hadn't.
As, for those that ever experienced the real-thing(I was lucky-enough to play it, for a few hrs, at a friends house, 1 time. It can be likened to a heroin addiction. You've had THE most-amazing high U will EVER experience, but it will NEVER be the same, again. As, there's no actual way to play the real 'Hills/PT, ever again(I'm not counting those who still have it on their PS4's, they can't relate.
I mean, there seems to be an out-right conspiracy at work to prevent anyone from even HAVING ACCESS to it. Like we're supposed to just accept that it was a temporary thing. And, just so it's understood, I'm not someone lamenting over a missed-opportunity. Rather, I'm 1 of those /literally/ poor-souls still w/o a PS4 or equivalent. Which, is mostly the case, bcuz of financial-situations beyond my control. But, partially, due to the ridiculous collector's market & Nintendo shutting down e-store purchases, on those w/o a Switch(I had to scramble, since I only have a 3DS.
Anyway, RE: SilentHills/PT: I'm really asking for it 2 be made permanently-available on PS4/5. Or, avail. on PC, somehow(is STEAM just not an option, REALLY. As, it's a well-known fact, it has VERY low system requirements, for a PS4 game. Likely, anything that's at least a medium-level dual-core, could run it. That is, the best emu I've seen of it, can run it on a low-level dual-core or similar & looks as good as the REAL thing. It even had /most/ of the effects looking the same, as it does on PS4 vids. Admittedly, it was only a small-portion of the real thing. But, likely, a full-version doesn't require anything more. Since, I'm referring to the graphics & it wouldn't have changed, after it's already running.
That is, great as it is to have new SH stuff, I think it's time they /finally/ make that game avail. again. I mean, the window they had last time was NOT acceptable. As, U had to have had it installed already, at some point. That is NOT a fair way to treat that. After all, how many ppl simply expected the game to continue to be avail. ? As, there was NO indication it was going to be around such a temporary time.
Anyway, they could, /at the very least/ STOP preventing ppl from sharing the game, openly & for free.
That is, there's always a fair-argument for removal, when financial gain would be the reason. So, if that were the case, it would be understandable. But, when ppl are just looking to allow others to experience it, it's COMPLETELY illogical to stop such a thing. When, U consider Konami is LITERALLY doing nothing w/ the game AT ALL. Except, keeping it on record as being part of their property, for strictly copyright-related cease-&-desist orders(if there's another reason, I'd like to know about it.
They could at least let others use the game for compensation-free purposes, is what I mean. Considering, that they're acting like obsessive tyrants, over a game that they reveal to have NO interest in. If it were otherwise, I could understand. However, these new announcements make it clear we'll never be given access to the game, by them. In honest truth, if I ever had enough money, I would find a way to buy the rights off of them(it would probably require them being on the edge of bankruptcy, tho. BTW-That's all hypothetical, I'm EXTREMELY broke, due to an obsessive game-buying habit & having a low-end PC that still needs upgrades, just to play PS4-level games.
Anyway, Konami is revealing the very WORST aspect of copyright-law. That, something can be held-onto & not even utilized. The only hope for us all, is that eventually their control over 'Hills/PT will be wrested from them, for non-use, one day. I only hope I live long enough to see it.
Oh, & the same goes for Kojima, if this is actually all his fault. However, I've heard the cease-&-desist are issued by Konami. So, likely, they deserve ALL the blame, for this nonsense.
In closing, the reason I rant about all this, is because SH is LITERALLY the game series that has affected/impacted me the most & has meant more to me, than ANY other series/game. It means far more to me, than ANY game series & I would GLADLY pay EXTRA for a copy of SilentHills/PT. That, I could trust would last forever. Physical ensures that best. But, STEAM is THE trusted source, for gaming-permanence, in a way few other sources are. So, I would be fine w/ that, if it /has/ to be kept digital. But, no matter what price, as long as I could afford it(read: no more than 100, I would pay to have access to 'Hills/PT, somehow restored.
It should LITERALLY be considered a crime, that Konami is preventing access, to the most unforgettable experience, in all of SH history.
I honestly just can't understand their cruelty.

I'm not really into Silent Hill like most people. It got a boom because of the PT demo imo. Before that, I think the series was dead with the last games being disappointing. PT is the only SH game I have interest in, not so much the world building that Konami is doing. That game, frankly, could have existed on its own instead of being in the Silent Hill universe imo. I thought the original games were good and deserve praise, but I remember just watching my friend play it. I was always a RE guy and prefer that world more than SH. The series lost me with 6, but it's slowly pulling me back in with these Remakes.

I think some people forget that many of us were busy with work, kids, higher education, etc and didn't necessarily get to play EVERY game back when it was released. I am looking forward to playing the Uncharted games cuz I didn't get to back then, and I get to have that experience for the first time with modern graphics, and maybe more modern QOL upgrades. So I say bring on the remakes, as long as it doesn't mean they stop making new games as well, Unlike Rockstar with GTA.

RE4 looks so sick! I wish they would have used the original voice actors or just use the original voice lines would have been just fine. I can't wait to play it. I like that it is basically the same but they changed it just a little in order to make it feel new. RE4 was pretty creepy and this just looks even more creepy and fun. I hope that it is still a more shooter style. I am going to have a great time with this! That parry with the chainsaw was so sick!

The Sims 4 is now free-to-play on Steam now and I got it earlier then I watched this video. Then I was shocked that there's a rumor for Sims 5 then that' s why the Sims 4 is free to play now? Good thing I didn't bought it before although they're always on sale from time to time. Thanks for the news, Jake! I always watch all of your videos here when there's nothing to watch or just hear some games news! Y'all are my sources for good stuff! :)

The Annapurna SH project has me incredibly intrigued, I think it would be cool to make it an ongoing antalogy type projects getting different directiors and writers to tell a bunch short SH stories. Even if it s an ongoing episodic type story like the telltale games I think could be cool and fitting, even tho I m not a big fan of those games, but for SH I might give those type of games another shot

Konami are sittning on these insane IP's Silent Hill, Metal Gear and Castlevania, all three of them made for franchising!
Sell the IP's(to Sony)or outsource them(as seems to be the case with at least one project)
I want a Metal Gear 1-2(we Are getting Solid, right)with David Hayter as Snake and Keifer Sutherland as Big Boss)

How bad is Gotham knights! Pre-ordered it a while ago then I seen your review and before you buy and knew I made a mistake. But playing it oh boy! It doesn't feel like a AAA game and it's nothing special like an old PS4 game not next gen. Does anyone else think it's trying to rip off Spiderman? Even has the same tune when you collect one of Batman's secret cache puzzles. It's horrendous

I hope Silent Hill is a good game, I only played the original and The Room, I went PS1 to Xbox and missed the PS2 games, might need to get a emulator going. I forgot about the Silent Hill series and feel like a bit of Silent Hill now. Resistance Evil games I feel after the first three became more of a shooter, never played 4 or the village.

Horror games are in remake heaven!
Since the first Resident Evil remake on GameCube, we ve seen some of the best remakes and a majority of them being horror.
Now we re getting an awesome looking RE4 remake, Silent Hill 2 remake (by Bloober, Dead Space remake. All look amazing too. Hot damn!

I may be old and jaded. But, the way they treated Hideo Kojima. I will never purchase or support the company. The man made the company reputation. It even ruined my favorite franchise Metal Gear. There just isn't an excuse for me. I stand By my Japanese brother on this and I will support him.

These last few days have been a rollercoaster ride for survival horror fans 4 Silent Hill projects in the works and gameplay for Resident Evil 4 (which looks amazing) and also multiple Witcher projects were announced which I'm excited for that as well, Things are looking great for gamers.

Silent Hill has a lot of potential, and considering how well Capcom have done with RE remakes, I wouldn't blame Konami in trying to replicate that formula. If they bring new life in to the series and do it justice then I won't see it as a cash grab, but we'll see, early days.

Mark my words, Blooper (Bloober) will find the way to make Silent Hill 2 remake a half baked boring game like they did for Layers of Fear 1 & 2, Blair Witch, The Medium, etc. Same with Annapurna and their games which are all too short (and most boring. Wasted potential.
