HOGWARTS LEGACY BIGGER THAN ELDEN RING? SONIC FRONTIERS 2 TO IMPROVE & MORE Jennifer: I'm not a die hard Harry Potter fan but heck I know what it's all about. I'm even rewatching the movies. Elden ring. what is that. everytime I see a clip it's all dark and gloomy. so no thanks, I can't relate same as I can't connect with anime games. And NO I'm not British but I went and got the Hogwart's Legacy Deluxe Edition so I could start playing it and I am still at it. There are games for everyone but same as The Witcher 3 this game immerses you into that particular world with really likeable characters like Poppy Sweeting and the obsessed Sebastian Swallow. I'll even go as far as to say this game got me hooked as much as The Witcher 3. I spent hours trying to get a male unicorn to breed in my vivarium. got a whole herd now lol The requirement room is a place where I really like to hang out and customise it. My only gripe is the map. they need to fix that and add filters. AND they need to lock quest items. I used one by mistake. a potion. and had to make it out of my own resources.

Hogwarts has a hugger fan base not just for the game, but for the story of Harry Potter itself.
Me personally I feel that both Hogwarts Legacy and Elden Ring are both a 10/10 experience for different reasons.
Elden ring is not an easy to play game and has more of a required taste to enjoy the game let alone learn it.
Hogwarts is fun and easier to get lost in for the lore as well as how well it was put together. They implemented elements from Elden Ring, God Of War, batman/Spiderman games and others. They took all the elements of the games before them and made it make perfect sense for hogwarts. I had literally no interest in playing the game because it was single player but my curiosity got the best of me and I fell in love. They did such a great job with not making the game feel repetitive and boring. It felt more full and the story is straightforward where as with elden ring you have to piece things together.
The simplicity yet complexity of hogwarts is what also helped push the game to be supported more. They have both done an outstanding job, and I think we can appreciate both games without talking down on it.

Does it surprise anyone that hogwarts legacy has sold so well? It has a massive fan base, looked like a decent game prior to release, and has had mostly positive reviews (i haven't seen a bad one, but i know they will be out there somewhere.
I miss the days when there would be several sequels (not remakes) in a consoles lifespan, such as the multiple mario games on nes, the multiple sonic games on the mega drive and the multiple donkey kongs on the snes. Keep the core gameplay and just make more levels. Nobody is going to be mad as long as the gameplay remains good, just look at the fifa franchise for example, remains largely unchanged year after year and is still well received, and this is despite being an absolute cash-grab of a franchise on top of that.

I just want more diplomatic freedoms in my potential Civ 7.
I d like to have more flexibility within individual ways of winning. For example, what if there was more ways to go about a domination war. Maybe coups and other not inherently violent means of gaining control of other cities and nations. More of a morality situation for nations. Like once Ghandi s friendly counter rolls back, you could make a case for needing to rescue the people from his reign of tyranny, etc, etc.
More flexibility in our relationships with other nations, expanded trading deals. Real countries deal in all sorts of things, knowledge, culture and everything. More of that.

While I'm really looking forward to playing Metro Exodus come winter (they're winter games for sure, loved the first two, I really want to see what else 4A games can do. Other than a VR side project they have literally only made Metro. Anyway Mount & Blade II surprise (for me at least) dropped on gamepass! I'll be getting a start on that until Atomic Heart. Also maybe it's left-field but when talking about worlds perfect for a new gaming experience it has to be Fullmetal Alchemist, just the world not the existing story/characters. With some revolutionary environmental deformation/destruction system and how powers work it could really be something else.

I want a proper world expansion of Unreal 1, not the toxic competitive nonsense that is the Tournament, just a good proper set of single player experiences in the Unreal world. Sort of hoping epic releasing UT3X means they are trying to garner interest in unreal again. But Digital extremes should be part of it, they made the best unreal games.
I'll never support subscription services for games or game that want a subscription, no game is worth the thousands of dollars you spend on subscriptions.

Oh my gosh, a good influx of TMNT video games, with just a lot of variety in styles and genres. I played Shredder's Revenge off your suggestion (thank you btw, and now I just want more. Tmnt 2: Battle Nexus was one of my favorite games ever and I beat it so many times when I was a kid. I remember someone talking about an Arkham Knight style TMNT game, and let me tell you right now, that would be the dopest thing to happen in video games if they pulled it off.

Thought you initially meant the map of Hogwarts legacy was bigger than Elden Ring's map and I immediately got anxiety. I'm having a blast with the game, but Elden Ring's map is MASSIVE, especially if you include all the underground stuff, and so far HL is packed full with side quests and collectibles and puzzles. So glad that the team that made this game is having all their hard work pay off. There's a lot of love poured into every little corner of this game.

I might be interested in the new Metro sequel, I was a fan of Exodus and how that game looked and played along with the mechanics also, only bummer about the game to me at least was that it wasn't fully open world more or less just a decently big maps that u had to load into once u progress through the story. If the sequel is going to be a official open world map then I might look into getting it sometime in the future.

I mean as gamers we have been pretty thirsty for some new IP material. I know there are great ones out there but the well performing AAA titles seem to be fewer and fewer each year really. I know there is much more involved but this game has provided way more entertainment than I expected and that is RARE these days. Keep up the great work and keeping us informed and thanks for all the hard work y'all do!

I'm not surprised with Hogwarts Legacy. After watching my Wife play it for a week straight, I broke down and started a game. It is amazing, and some of the boss battles remind me of Dark Souls meets Devil May Cry in the combat sense. Also, of course it's doing well in sales, when ever a group of people yell Boycott on a game, us gamers buy it without thinking just out of spite.

Kinda funny how some ER fanboys are getting upset about HL possibly over taking it. ER is basically Dark Souls in an open world. Granted a gm like that hadn't been done yet, but it seemed like within a month ppl already were doing speed runs or that jump glitch where they can skip all the way to end. Personally, I thought GoW was a lot better and should've been Game of the Year.

I honestly never really watched Harry potters films but I like potters character a lot plus I used to imagine a game like hogwarts legacy now it came true and is sooo mf good I love the art style of the game it also got this fable 2 like vibe in the forest areas lol I have 0 regrets I instantly downloaded this game when I bought a ps5 for myself the other day

I know it s gotten a couple small games and free ones on TCN s website, but I ll never understand why we never got an Adventure Time 3D game made in a looser and sillier BOTW style. Cel-shaded graphics and limitless possibilities and characters old and new among the many well-defined kingdoms. It s not too late, there s still spin-off shows being made I think?

I knew as long as hogwarts was a good game it would be a juggernaut, even better, it s a great game. With the Harry Potter fan base, it s inevitable for it to sale huge, especially that it s so good. Gamers love it. Casuals love it. Potter fans love it. I m a huge Harry Potter fan and this game is everything I wanted. We ll deserved
