I once played a Guitar Hero clone named Rock Revolution. I thought the guitar gameplay was wonky but it worked. but the drums, man. The game had some of the worst drums gameplay I've seen, it's nonsensical even if you tried using a Rock Band drum set (which made the drums UI make a tiny bit more sense. Aside from the gameplay, they tried so hard to make characters that were iconic. I can remember a few from Rock Band 2 that I liked, but these other nobodies were so generic, they looked more like audience members. That game was amazingly bad, even though it had an ok soundtrack. Only worse GuitarHero clones I can think of are plug-and-plays but those are their own entire beast. You should do a video on those, lol.

From my understanding of Ninjabread man s history it s the perfect game for this list, and is the first of those asset flip platformers. Basically the company Data Design Interactive were making a prototype for a 3D Zool game, and when it was shown it wasn t approved, so DDI just used the demo to make a bunch of asset flips. You can tell because of the hearts that fly from enemies, and there was a cutscene leaked from the demo that showed the first level of Ninjabread Man.

Sometimes I like to deep dive into steam and mobile stores specifically to find just the absolute worst shameless clones I can find, some end up being real gems (in the so bad it's good sense) or on rare occasions the clone ends up being as good if not better than the original game

_Hire someone to make a somewhat professional looking picture for the game_ Nah. More like use AI now. I saw moist critical play that first game. 100% the loading screens were AI generated. Even the dialog feels AI'd. It's so low budget.

Seeing any bad Mario Kart clone that can't even get driving right makes you appreciate anything that's above that.
It has to be tough to program a physics engine that considers forward acceleration and speed while turning.

This has nothing to do with this video but I wish steam, Microsoft Sony ect. would have a buy back option even if they just took like 25-40% of the games value and let you sell the games back to them for new or different games

Actually Resident Evil is a clone of the first Alone in the Dark. The Alone in the dark franchise is what greatly inspired the Resident Evil series, most notably on the camera angles and type of gameplay.

8: 30 The Bug Butcher is an awesome game! .I admit that trying to make a Super Smash Bros clone featuring the protagonist as a character is a stretch but on its own that game is top notch. Don t sleep!

The bonus, I thought was a rip of Cabela's hunting franchise because Falcon mispronunciation the word, and therefore confused me how it got big voice actors. It is pronounced Caw-Bell-Aw.
