15 games that call you out for being too good
video description
The only way to refill concrete power is via concrete enemies, which there are none left if you secure all areas before doing the final boss.
I felt so jipped out of finally getting the concrete powers, fully upgrade it, and then I got to use it a whole 2 minutes before I ran out of juice and couldn t refill.
Meaning, once I used another power like Smoke? I couldn t use concrete EVER AGAIN. As there was no source of it.

There's also the birthday party in Borderlands 3, but I'm not totally sure if that counts. One of your playable characters from the first game, Mordecai, has befriended a little girl he rescued at some point or another, taught her how to shoot, etc, and today's her tenth birthday. Yaaay. He asks you if you'd go to her party with him. Yeah, why not. Only when you get there, the kid's father is there telling you she died like last week, but she'd be so thrilled to know you're all here for her party. He's arranged some party games based on stuff she was the best at; there are pieces of cake scattered around that you can eat because apparently she was amazing at speed eating birthday cake; there's a set of targets set up you can toss grenades through because I guess she was really good at that too. If you beat her records at this stuff, her dad will give you her favorite gun, and him and Mordy will make you feel like garbage for it. Nobody says so until after, but letting all her records stand has him give you the gun anyway.

I like being OP in games. It s what fun for me. Especially in games where you re supposed to be known for being the best. Single player RPGs like Skyrim, Dragon Age, Witcher etc as well as JRPGs. It s why I don t support nerfing things or excessive patches in single player games. I m the type who gets annoyed seeing people post in support boards about exploits in single player games saying please fix. If you don t want to us it then don t. Other people using exploits or farms has no effect on your experience.

I was disappointed with DMC 5 (the latest one, you know that boss you take on for the 2nd time after the first scripted failure (Urizen I think was his name? I managed to beat him (quite a few minutes worth of battling) and literally ended the game then and there on my first playthrough. I didn't expect it, if only I knew you were actually supposed to die again, to see the rest of the game. before I uninstalled the game. I'm not re-downloading the game again to die there and see the rest of DMC. lol

I swear one time I was playing Dead Space 2, (I hadn't died or been injured much)and right when you're going through the tunnel to get to the Ishimura. A brute burst through some boxes for you to fight. That one time it morphed into two brutes, I was ecstatic! I had already beat the game twice on hard Difficulty and it had never done that. Might have been a glitch, but I feel games should have more surprises like that.

I've always hated the rubber banding function that a lot of racing games have. It's not so much that the games are calling you out for being good, but it's definitely a way to create artificial difficulty. I've spent all of this time building up a car that should blow the doors off of everything else on the track, but if I get too far ahead, the AI opponents magically appear right on my ass.

9: 57 The fact that this game shames you for being a boring peacekeeper is hilarious. I feel like it s pointing a finger at the fact that law enforcement (based on the plethora of video footage of cops violating civilian rights) that law enforcement is less a black and white scenario of whodunnit, and closer to the reality of what can we manipulate to facilitate an more egregious charge.

How about a list of games that end if you don't progress like the devs wanted?
Idk how many of them there are, but there was a Genesis game that did that
Evander Holyfield. Championship Boxing?
I remember it was a Holyfield boxing game
Anyway, if you didn't move up the ladder fast enough the game would say something to the effect of never being one of the greats and ends lol

I think some devs don't get that some of us want to play a game on easy for awhile because we're wanting to chill and not think too much. When I want a challenge, I go to a harder mode or play an entirely different game. Granted I've only played a couple of the games in this video. I stopped buying pretty much everything but indie games. Rarely do I buy a 60 game.

11: 00 nah its perfectly fine to make fun of centrists. Centrists are either too dumb to see how the right wing makes them into useful idiots or too cowardly to stand up to hate speech so they claim middle ground as if there should be a middle ground between every human deserves to be equal and some people are abominations and must be cleansed from the earth.

I was disappointed in FH4 and 5 that it no longer notices you constantly winning when difficulty is set to unbeatable. You could still make things more challenging by turning off rewind, ABS and traction control. Or you could drive manual with clutch. All would be greater challenges, but it only notices the difficulty level. Sad.

I remember playing a mission on the Witcher 3 where you offer up a sheep to a Forktail as bait. I busted my Ass trying to see what would happen, if I managed to finish the fight with forktail without the sheep dying. And at the end of the fight, Geralt says, go frolick little Little sheep you earned it.

2 BS versions of this:
1) adaptive difficulty like in Elder Scrolls games where the world seems to magically know that your character is at a high level, and prescribes high level enemies in area where there were none.
2) racing games where cars behind you seemingly gain speed and pass you.

Interesting the devs are the ones telling folks to go outside or do something else all the while they re typing away on computer screens, programming, because if they don t, they won t be able to feed their families.
Why don t you go do something else?
Oh wait
Happy crunching.

In Armored Core 6, if you get ahead of your orders the game will acknowledge that you are doing things faster. In the mission where you gotta take out the walking mining ship, if you get on top of it before Walter tells you to the coms of the RLF will say that AC pilot is no rookie

What I hate even more than being asked if I wanna raise a difficultly is when I die once or twice and get asked if I want to lower the difficulty. Doom eternal is the worst offender I ve seen. I m playing on nightmare cause I m looking for trouble. Don t ask if I want Sentinel Armor

Actually MW2 campaign was one of the only COD campaigns that rewarded you for moving quickly, the original MW2 was the first cod I completed on veteran, which i was hooked on, then decided the next move would be WaW, which if you ve completely you know the struggle. Grenades!

If you are showcasing a bunch of moments where a game does something specific that people don't normally see, most people come to actually watch those moments you found, not see you plaster the quote on screen and give an approximate explanation of what happens.

The thing is you either want to play to be good at the game, or you want to actually have a fun time. If the player wants to feel unstoppable, let them. Especially in racing games. The AIs don't drive better, their cars just become impossibly faster, even in corners.
