They are not saying gaming itself is a disorder, they are creating a category called -gaming disorder-. They are saying it it has the potential to be a problem for some people. There are people that would or do have a problem with gaming.
You can consider gaming as similar to eating in this way. It's something many enjoy, it is also something that some people experience problems with.
It is for that reason alone I support having it added to the list. It won't impact the majority, but it can allow those that need treatment to get treatment. It also will allow money to be spent on research, perhaps in some years it will be categorised differently, but at this juncture in time it is a necessary classification.

I think the gta clone looks really good, i'd play it if it was free...As for addiction to video games i believe its totally bogus. in certain cases some mentally damaged people might get addicted to games, but its not an addiction. Ive never liked battlegrounds games, i think theyre boring and repetitive, i much more prefer mmos and story driven linear games.

Gaming is an activity, thus if it was a disorder then sprinting jumping reading sleaping and everything else with the ending -ing- under the sun logicaly would be a disorder. I strongly disagree with this because, some people causualy game, some hardcore game, everyone is different, and a activity that YOU DO CANNOT be a disorder, where are they comeing from?

gaming is an art form, and like any art form it is ment to been seen, heard, etc. calling gaming a mental disorder is like calling people who go to art galleries have mental disorders. Gaming is also has some benefits, for instance puzzle based games help your problem solving while FPS's help with hand eye coordination.

TV addiction has been around since forever and its very serious and has major negative effects on peoples minds and mental state.
i feel so sorry for my family members who probably spend about a quarter of their awake lives watching advertisements. never talking to anyone just sitting there like mindless zombies.

Video Games is very addictive. But is more psychological than chemical, so its not the worst thing to fix. But it definitely can steal you a lot of valuable time in your life, once you seriously get addicted fot the dopamine that a particular game gives you.

Don't know if I can call it an addiction but I do need my -fix- of gaming every now and then. But if I go a whole week without gaming I don't go crazy. I'd just want to play it but work and other priorities take precedence.

I like open world games that have a small to meduim map size, with a variety of maps that are uploaded from a community. I like great mechanics, and the story mode and campaign is something I dont give a shit about.

Why every game that's open world has to be referred as a gta clone? Smfh same reason the real saints row got scrapped this shit needs to stop. Let a game breathe and have time to develop before you critic it.
