07: 30 I'm almost positive I remember the method to the Zelda EE and I read it in a magazine my brothers friend purchased in the late 90's. I have executed it countless times on original SNES.
I have NO idea why it's mentioned wrong on wiki it blows my mind. You Continue from Links House take identical path as you do at the start of the entire game.
Load a save file and Continue from Links house. Now you must reach the bush with a hole under it and fall into, the same as in the very beginning of the game before the sword was given down there. As long as you reach this bush and fall fast enough you will land in Chris's secret room.
I believe you can even do it at the start of the game without Boots you must reach it in seconds walking in straight deliberate lines never back tracking or colliding with objects or walls.
This EE is accessible at anytime during the game. Continue from Links House and practice dashing to that hole fast without bumping into anything. Secret genuineness of hiding it in your very first objective in the game, haha. That's the DEFINITIVE way, rest assured, mark my word.

The ZX Spectrum was an early home computer, not a console. It's really weird hearing it talked about with an American 'Zee', as the majority of the videos about it are British and call it the 'Zed X Spectrum'. It was the way a whole lot of people first got into video games, as it was very affordable by the standards of the early 80's. It was made in Britain, so it was most popular here, but did well in some other countries as well, and was one of the few computers available in Eastern Bloc countries during the Cold War. It's popularity meant that Britain was largely protected from the effects of the 1980's video game crash and the industry continued to grow here while it was shrinking in the USA. So all in all the Spectrum is pretty important to the history of video games in general, despite it being slightly obscure in the USA.

I doubt Rare was that scare when it came to copyright issues: all the games on the emulator were by Ultimate, which was Rare's name at yhe time, and they self-published. They were more than capable of replacing whatever little ROM functionality they needed with their own homespun equivalent, and hardware isn't covered by patents. The only thing they might've been wary of is that there was a patent on the _exact_ way that the Spectrum did colour graphics (i. e, the combination of attribute colour and the screen file layout, but that was long expired by time GoldenEye came out and it wasn't something Amstrad were enforcing.
If anything, it's more likey they had second thoughts about putting it in something the big N would have rights to.

The Chris Houlihan Room is a fail safe mechanic. If you glitch out and Link falls into a hole, and the game has no idea what room trigger to place you in, instead of soft-locking your game, the game will place you into that room.
You can easily do this by starting the game at the Sanctuary, head to the graveyard, and moving one of the gravestones. Then you place Link strategically to where if you drop a bomb, the bomb will damage Link and knock him back into the hole. If successful, Link will spawn into the Chris Houlihan room.
That’s how it works in case anyone is wondering. It’s just a way for the game to scramble placing you somewhere if local data on the cartridge was corrupted and needed to refresh.

For some reason I thought the beetles in RE4R hurt you. I usually just sell them since they sell for so much, but there's 2 other locations I know.
Right after you lose Ashley after Waterhall, go in the water and it's on the wall. And directly after you activate the first Krauser cutscene on the island, it's on the wall behind you.
I want to say I know a 4th location but I'm completely drawing a blank. I remember I pick up 3 beetles in every run but I can't remember where the last one is, it must just be muscle memory.

Hopefully gameranx sees this.
Anyways, in the Silent Hill 2 remake, when you get to Bluecreek Apartments, outside the clock room (room 212) in the main hallway and to the left, is a metal fence with mannequins with sheets behind it. As you progress through the apartment collecting the clock hands and return to the clock room, the mannequins behind the fence with move closer and closer.
Not sure if it qualifies as an Easter egg but I've watched a few playthroughs and haven't seen anyone else mention it yet.

You do NOT have to check Wesker’s desk 50 times to get the film containing Rebecca’s photo in Resident Evil 2 Remake. That’s only in the original game that you have to.
Hideki Kamiya said that checking the desk 50 times in the original game is required because it simulates searching through loads of paperwork and items.
In the RE2 remake, you just need to secure and develop the secret film and angle the character just right to grab the film containing Rebecca’s photo.

I do scoff at your headless horseman sir! I scoff indignantly! Everyone knows about the horseman by now. Shame on you, oh feathered one.
Also, I totally knew about duck mode when I was a kid and used it to troll all my friends. I would just sit near the remote, and use my foot to press the d-pad and make the duck fly all crazy and make it almost impossible to hit. They would get so mad and I would just cry laughing.

I found the Chris Houlihan room in the 90s. but it was just randomly me entering some stairs under a bush. And after that it worked only once per new game upon entering the same stairs. It was the original NA super Nintendo version. After that you would go back down the stairs into. i think it was a fairy cave. But i dont remember. It was whatever it was supposed to be down there.

Wait so even in the remake you can check Weskers desk 51 times for the photo Because if you get the hiding place image for the Magnum upgrade that's in the desk, after collecting it by checking the desk again just once the image for Rebecca Chambers is available as well I just assumed they got rid of the checking 50 times easter egg and replaced it with that as a homage.

Okay, almost everyone already knows the black cellphone secret in GTA 5. I don't get why almost nobody talks about the dead body in the mineshaft to where you find many clue writings on walls in Los Santos and when you go back to the dead body in the mineshaft, you get it's contact and calling it toggles your game's filter to black and white.

hehe, I discovered the duck hunt thing way back in the 90s. We were just alternating playing the game and in a moment of boredom I started mashing all the buttons on all the controllers and the duck follows controller 2 directions! :)
Sadly as the duck it's not easy. The player still hits it and being unpredictable doesn't help much. :)

Did people really not know that you could control the ducks in Duck Hunt with the second controller
I remember when my parents bought the NES with SMB/DH and brought it home and we were doing that the first night we all huddled around the TV and played. It doesn’t require a code or any progression to unlock. It’s very simple.

What if rocksteady made a superman game where like, lex luthor had kryptonite radiation machines or something set up around the city. youd have to start without powers in the first mission as basically clark kent and set out to disable the first machine to regain a power.

I'm pretty sure it was Nintendo Power magazine that helped kids all over North America find that cool picture of Rebecca Chambers. I think my fave is still the locked door outside the station that you can only get a key for on a second playthrough and it has the new outfits.

Wesker's desk is the reason why, EVEN NOW, that I check all interact-able items/people at least 50 times. especially if it is in a room that is too clean but has plenty of things that are interactive or people/items that could be condisdered as throwaway/background extras

there was that Futurama game where it was known that there was a literal easter egg beyond a certain wall, but no one knew how to get to it. until some guy who figured it out in his childhood watched a video mentioning it and immediately recorded how to get to it.
