Barnabas was really disappointing as a character, just a plain boring dragon to Ultima with no real complexity at all. He seemed such a promising figure in the trailers and press release material. Like I thought there would be such serious 'leader of men' traits to him and a degree of 'Dark is not Evil' with some kind of plan to save the world from the Blight that just happened to be at odds with Clive's goals or a tragic figure that unwittingly aided the main antagonist and got some redemption in death via sacrifice.
Even the Odin boss battle stacks up poorly against the other big setpiece battles imo.

The dude played with clive with one hand at first then turned to random swings after

My brother, doesn't understand, that even walking just outside our hideaway is risking our lives. Having a hideaway in itself is risking our lives. Were in this together even with my pending death. Charon at least has a somewhat-amusing crotchety old lady charm to her, but there is literally -nothing- redeeming about Vivian's character. Though it can be fun seeing other characters disingenuously butter her up so they don't hear as much of her whining IoI

I like their attention to detail. When Clive is less lethal with an opponent it says bested when a battle is won. If lethal, slain. If Fallen Machine, dismantled.
This will be the first game I buy when i finally cop a PS5.

Tarnishing
Odin and Slepnir reminds me of Black and Zamasu when I first look at him.
And things might differ a bit after finding out Slepnir is not a real person and Semi Prime Barnabas's voice really reminds me of Zamasu

Clive makes better use of Shiva's powers than Jill. All she does is cast blizzard and shoots those freakin icicle shards and uses Blizzaga when the enemy is staggered.

The boss fight with Odin was underwhelming especially after that Titan and Bahamut Eikon battle. Considering he's the last Eikon you'd deal with before Ultima.
