ahh, the good ol days.
would play this back in 2009 with my dad and i'd body him with li mei so hard he would actually toss his controller down and push me out of his bedroom. all in good fun, of course, because i'd come back like five minutes later with some soda and chocolate chip cookies and we'd be right back to playing again.
of course, i'd play this alone and for some reason was actually terrified of arcade mode.

thank goodness they stopped doing those arena like games, it doesn't fit MK style imo. I much prefere MK 1 to 3, MK 9 to 11 combat style. Much more straight forward.
There are only a few fighting games that work with arena like combats in my opinion: Tekken, Dead or Alive, Naruto and Dragon Ball games.

I got this game from my uncle 14 years ago when I was 6. I remember always getting scared because of the intro, fatalities, dark battlegrounds and music but still loved the game. I always chose scorpion and still use him as my main in the new games. Good times.

I remember I wanted this game back in the day. I have/had Deception & Armageddon, but never got this one. These days, a playthrough video is enough for me to be satisfied, but I'll always remember the one that evaded my grasp.

Loved this game back the. But been playing mk1. We have sure upgraded in gameplay and. Competition but I hate that we have to pay extra for more characters when back then we just had to win them

I really enjoyed the different fighting styles for each character in this game. I remember playing MK in the arcade and on Sega Genesis. Good memories.
