Lisa Ann Walter talks about her Sicilian heritage, her great-grandmother giving birth to twelve kids on the kitchen table instead of going to the hospital, doing all of the cooking in her house, her character on Abbott Elementary having a home with her furniture covered in plastic, and working with Quinta Brunson. oldspen85: Sicilian (American Italians) and black families are so much alike you wouldn't believe it. I an African American and she described my family living room growing up with plastic on all the good furniture and the lamp to the T. Also, meals at my grandmother's house with all my aunts, uncles and cousins. Southern family.

No Jimmy, Not from digging coal from burning it. People who heat their houses with gas or electricity ( Most everybody, these days ) don't know, but if you heat with coal or wood, the houses gets full of ashes, soot and dust. You gotta sweep and dust every day. And keep your good furniture covered in plastic.

Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Kimmel Live support theft and slavery, for they have not paid for work received and profited from despite agreement to do so. Would rather report that he is honorable and pays debts but stealing and supporting exploitation is what I have to report as the standing fact.

That shortage of male names goes right back to Rome. There was only about 6 names for men. Then you add place names nicknames, names from occupations. etc. to distinguish between all the Gaiuses, Nicos and so on.

I vacationed once in Sicily, the guest of the vice president and his family. Such a beautiful country. And the hospitality! And then there were the huge family meals with memorable fried eggplant. Unforgettable.

OMG I remember growing up(Sicilian Family too) we always had Entenmann's Coffee Cake!
LMAO! The plastic on the furniture. I was always embarrassed to bring my elementary classmates over, because of it.

I think Jimmy really enjoyed this interview because he hardly let her talk! Wish it was longer! I wanted to hear more! She truly nails her role on Abbott Elementary! Hope she comes back!
