LGR - Top 17 Satisfying PC Game Weapons

There are tons of game weapons that FEEL great to use. But some rise above the rest and for whatever reason they just blow away the competition. Why? I don't know, this is totally subjective but it's something I've noticed and is just a list for fun. This is the top 17 most satisfying and gratifying PC game weapons I've come across. Games were chosen on the basis of that intangible feeling of awesomeness that I got when playing them. Whether it be from sound, visual feedback, feel, etc. Why 17? Because it's an odd number, very odd

If only that bloody chainsaw weapon would've worked for me. But as soon as I picked it up, the game froze, repeating Julies last 4 words over and over. I can still hear her. -A chainsaw sword! That could help in this place. help in this place. help in this place. help in this place. - Same happened when cheating the sword in the inventory. I guess it happened when the sword was seen from a certain angle. Kinda sucks when the signature weapon of a game is bugged.

Dead Space 2 Kinesis Device. Satisfaction is putting an enemy into slow time with Stasis, dismember an arm from range with any weapon, than activate Kinesis to pluck the flying limb from the air, to draw it to you and immediately fire it at their torso, sending them flying backwards and sticking them to the wall like a harpoon gun. If you-re good you don-t need the time slowdown effect of stasis.

This is not even close. There are games with way more fun to the trigger.
5) Smart Gun (AVP 2010) Almost Ripley VR.
4) Flail Gun (Bulletstorm) Almost as good as the Dynamite in Blood.
3) Remote Dynamite (Blood) And the laugh that comes after.
2) Shadowhand (Necrovision) Symphony of destruction. Painkiller left the chat.
1) Plastic Bag (Manhunt) - yep, you read this right.

Man, UT99 had some AWESOME weapons. They almost all did something cool for a secondary shot. You could even combo them with the Shock Rifle. (Shoot the secondary slow-moving orb that shoots out with the primary fire to make a big ol' purple explosion) I think my favorite weapon in that game or of any game weapon is the Flak Cannon for sure. I just LOVE that secondary grenade lobber.

The Revenant Heavy Machine Gun from Mass Effect 2 is my #1. Coming out of the soldier's time dilation ability and hearing the Revanant's roaring fire rate pick up is just amazing.
Ooh ooh ooh and the Pestilent Defiler with a corrosion build Hunter in the first Borderlands. Nothing like making every guy you gun down scream in agony and slowly melt into glowing green goo.

Nice, the flak gun from unreal tournament is one of my favorite video game guns and probably the best shotgun in any video game ever. Back in the day I was a top ranked unreal tournament player back in the day and I would mow people down with that thing, one of the best parts is if you angle your shot just right you can bounce the flak around corners and doorways.

The most satifying weapon to me is the nuke launcher of the original Crysis: D
I mean it's a fricking portable -mini- nuke which can easily oneshot whole camps and let fly trees hundreds of meters.
But don't try to find it in the game. You need a cheat/the sandbox in order to get it.
And I recommend modding it a bit; )

Unreal's Shock Rifle is far and away my favorite, especially the 2004 edition. 3 fire modes, all of which are useful in different ways. It was easy to hit a combo standing still, but took a lot of skill to do it while dodging around enemy fire. And the huge damage and booming sound effect when you hit a combo was just the best.

The Redeemer just bakes everything and blasts it to bits, at the same time. and it's nuclear. it's just awesome. The Pulse Gun and the Flack cannon can just be totally unfair, when used at close range, and totally satisfying - so is a hail of lead from the minigun, at almost any range.
