Many 90's PC gamers remember Halloween Harry/Alien Carnage. But what about the sequel for Windows 3. 1? Zombie Wars deserves a look, but it's rather hard to find the original CD. Check out my review of Halloween Harry

-bobinator1992 Thank you kindly, I'm glad you're enjoying them! Those are the exact reasons I started doing this with any kind of seriousness in the first place: nobody was reviewing the games I'd like to see reviewed and those that were ended up using too much fluff and filler that I simply find distracting. Hopefully you'll stay tuned, as I have at least one video uploaded a week and have many, many more planned for this year!

-CatsBunniesDucksMice Omikron is probably one of my top 5 favorite games, period. I freaking love that game, you're darned right it's underrated! I'll do a review of it at some point, but who knows when. It's one of those games I love so much it'll be hard to review it. Anekbah, Kay'l 669, Psytechs, demons, David Bowie, biomechanical penis implants, I get chills just thinking of the radness.

After the release of Zombie Wars, Gee-Whiz Entertainment actually was planning to make a Halloween Harry cartoon based around the never produced sequel Halloween Harry 3(3d. A script of the first episode was made and released as a text file. Images of all the characters for the show were released as well.
Try searching -Animated Halloween Harry- in Google for the script and images. :)

I rather like the art style. It looks like a mix of Japanese and Western, but mostly takes the right pieces of both. The game play itself also looks very Metal Slug-ish, though that series is pretty challenging and probably provides more challenge than Zombie Wars. It's too bad this game doesn't play as well as (I think) it looks.

You can snag this and Alien Carnage on a bunch of abandonware sites out there if you want to play it. Did a google search for Zombie Wars by Gee Whiz.
This to me has kind of a budget metal slug vibe to it. Run and gun, the humor, the sprite size, all feeds into that. Might have to check this out. Seems like a lot of mindless fun.

I think the narrator is Tim Thomerson aka Dollman, sounds like him but I can't find any credits for it. Pretty busy guy collectively over the years, did Cyrus Temple voice in Saint's Row 4.
I miss vending machines in games, seems like the 90s had a lot of that, no more payphones but vending machines are still a commonly seen thing.

-Lachlant1984 The official recommended requirements are Pentium 90Mhz, Windows 3. 1/95, 16MB RAM, 52MB HDD space
I've found that's about right, although a bit more CPU does help with some slowdown issues. And yes, it runs on 3. 1 as shown in the video. 95/98 also, but no higher than that.

I remember the original Haloween Harry, you say the game was also know as Alien Carnage, I assume that was in the US, I didn't know the developers of the original Haloween Harry was developed in Australia, that's awesome. What sort of specs do you need to run Zombie Wars optimally?
