Note: After riding the eyeball-tree, there are a bunch of green blocks and some gold blocks, the gold blocks go in immediately after the extend fully, as well as a bunch of trees and a few white blocks. Anyways, there is an elevator looking thing on that giant rail you saw first done by the -city-. You can make your way to it and that is the end of the alpha: when inside you get a little -Hint: - message that tells you it's the end. I went up farther, nothing new.

Ahh. I think I've figured out why the town's deserted. It looks like the townsfolk have been offered as sacrifices to the trees. That explains why there's a sacrificial pedestal outside the temple. The eye creature is really the base of a tree. So when the next sucker jumps on to pick the flower, the tree flies off to plant itself in the wall, crushing the hapless victim, whom the tree consumes. Pretty messed up when you think about it.

The eyeball monster is actually a tree. The eyeball is basically the base of the main -trunk-. I got a bit farther, pulling a white block and jumping onto it and trying to make my way up. Brown blocks go back in automatically as soon as they reach their outermost length. My mild acrophobia was screaming vertigo at me by that point, though, so I didn't try to make it to the monorail/elevator car that's above the tree's -landing point-.

: D - a rather different game, maybe when at the tree bits it is possible to change direction and carry on up to the eyeball bit. Where it then could be possible to change direction again - as the eyeball monster seemed to have 4 platforms. Also it could be possible when changing direction to stand on a block as it expands possibly. Just guessing at all this of course. PS hope the manual links worked in PMs sent a few days ago. :D

It's the windmills that really give it a Myst-like feel. That and the lack of background music, loneliness, and serene-yet-vaguely-eerie feel taken from a sense of mystery (Why is there a robe here? Why do you have a magic wand that controls the wall? Who built the town? Where are they now and what happened to them) and the exploration of the intriguing and unknown.
But mostly it's the windmills. Man, I miss Myst.

-Hint: Aim at the red lever and click the left mouse button. -
Is this generation really so dumb, or is it just us who grew up trying to find the red key in Doom who expect too much? I bought a game called Hard Reset recently and got this hint: -You can jump over obstacles-. I am dead serious. In 10 years time we'll have games warning not to run with scissors and explaining that fire is hot. Screw this world, I'm off.

In the past year, I've gotten more and more into PC gaming and I have fallen in love with all these independent experimental games (Dear Esther, The Path, MineCraft) and I love new, wierd, totally new gaming experiences. If the full-version of this comes out on Steam, I'd definately buy it. Even if it doesn't, I'll still buy it!

You seem to be quite interested in these obscure Indie games in the last time. Have you ever heard of Tiny and Big: Grandpas Leftovers? It's an acclaimed Indie game from Germany and will be out on Steam and Gog in a couple of days, but you can download the Demo now from their Website. Will you give it a try? Maybe in a Video?

Hey Phreakindee, I played to the point where you died on that giant eye thing then float up and over to the next landscape. Cant seem to pull any blocks out, I just end up crashing lol. Have you gotten any further? Wouldent be surprised if the game just stopped at some random point, being still in dev mode.
