Using a coupon from a 17-year-old PC game to buy a pizza. Yes, that's right. Found a coupon in a copy of Sierra's Red Baron 2 from 1997, and I attempt to redeem it in 2014! - This video made possible by viewer support on Patreon!

Wow! Who knew that a 1997 coupon for the Red Baron Pizza bundled with the game would turn out to be so good and so rare? And I'm quite surprised that the cashier lady and the male customer behind you were quite amazed about the coupon. I suppose that this coupon would belong in a museum if it shows up again someday. :)

In 2014, Red Baron pepperoni pizzas had 18 slices of pepperoni -- just like the picture on the box. A couple years later, this was reduced to 17, or even 16 slices of pepperoni (and the box art was adjusted. However, pepperoni pizzas still cost just $3, if you shop around for the 3-pack.

Ah Food! ion, they were going to take Texas by storm in the early 90's. They built a shit load number of stores and lasted a couple of years before completely pulling out of Texas. I guess Krogers, Tom Thumb, Piggly Wiggly, and Albertsons were to much competition.

Wow, I'd bought this game back in 1997 in Australia where we don't have Red Barron pizza. Still got the coupon! Always wondered what that pizza was like, looked so good in the picture. But from your video it looks like a $1 pizza, 22 year question answered.

I got my copy of this game from goodwill about 4 years ago I believe, and watching this video again reminded me to check for a coupon and mine has one too. I don't know if I actually wanna use it or keep it as kind of a cool little extra.

Clint I need you to know that this video basically planted a Pavlovian response to Red Baron pizza in me when I first watched it years ago, and after all of this time it is still the only frozen pizza brand I ever pick up

Sierra had a promo going with Red Baron Pizza in the lead-up to Red Baron II's release, too. They had an instant-win sweepstakes thing where certain boxes of Red Baron pizza would win a free copy of the game.

That was way more entertaining than it should have been: )
What's with the cashier though? She didnt seem to appreciate it at all and appeared to just be humoring you and the other guy: )

Coupons that don't expire = wonderful. Just wish other companies and especially those that sell gift cards that expire after 12 months or whatever would watch and learn from this.

You know the worker is under pressure, when they feel no emotion when something like that happens.
Btw, I just don't think a machine gun behind the propeller would be a good idea.
