My humble suggestion is to configure your loadout to leave off the rockets, or reduce your fuel and/or ammo.
From what I've heard, taking off in a WWII fighter burdened with a full fuel tank, the wings packed with. 50 cal rounds and ordinance is like trying to take off in an unladen airplane with the throttle set to only 50%.
That and I noticed on the loadout screen at the beginning says the max weight limit for your P-51 is 10582 lbs and that your plane was weighing in at at 11153 lbs. :P

Guys the Mustang is hard to fly i know this from experience i Fly slot for the virtual Tuskegee Airmen all of us in the diamond have to fight the mustang to keep her in position and slot is one of the easiest position to learn to fly but its still hard there is no computer on board to help you its just the pilot the trim and the stick. This is VTA-Bullet Bullet is my call sign

I got to the part where you set yourself up on the runway and I really was curious if you had a successful take-off this time (especially after all the prior crash and burns, so I decided to skip ahead just a few seconds. I do that and immediately see your plane engulfed in flames and a truly hilarious sigh of frustration from you. There was no shortage of lols from me.

3: 50 - 10: 40. Do you solve puzzles in Myst the same way?
WW2 pilots must have been geniuses with a death wish. Imagine spending weeks learning all that stuff needed just to take off, only to be shot down half an hour later. What a tragic waste.

Hey, I know how much you like your simulators especially the obscure ones ha. Anyway have you ever heard of Railfan? It's a train simulator for the PS3 but features full motion video, a rather odd but a really intriguing game; you should check it out!

I recently got a stick and picked up DCS. There is now a freeware TF-51D mustang, which is the p51 without guns or center tank. I feel for you. I managed to make my plane not start like your second attempt. I think we overheated the starter

I tried it then it lagged like crazy and i was only in the hangar (attempted to do the first mission) cause mah aptop is a worthless potato and with a even more worthless hardrive that failed just before it got a year old
