Just FYI, torque steer is a thing in FWD vehicles when you have unequal length axle shafts on the left and right side of the transmission. That is, with a transverse-mounted front engine, the crankshaft is going to attach to the transaxle on either the right or left side, hence the transmission will be on that side as well. Usually the engine is mounted a bit to the left or right to make room for the transmission, and the transmission itself will also be on the opposite side. Since the transmission has to output to both left and right wheels, being offset means that one axle shaft will be shorter than the other. This difference in axle length means that the torque doesn't get applied to each wheel and their tire contact patches at exactly the same time, which causes one tire to put more force to the ground than the other, which in turn causes the steering wheel to turn.
Torque steer can obviously be caused by other factors as well, but it's most commonly related to unequal length driveshafts. What you're talking about in the video is probably more accurately described as power oversteer.

Between this and Next Car Game, both look like they have some pretty epic soft-body physics action going on, with endless hours of smashing cars up and sending them flying through the air or off a cliff, the possibilities of destruction are endless! xD It's a shame that my laptop can't really run either of them though: ( or well a few months back I tried out the Next Car Game tech demo after watching Nerd Cubed's video about it, but even on the lowest settings the FPS dropped completely if I grinded the car up, which defeats the purpose of even playing it haha! Where as with BeamNG Drive here, the tech demo runs a bit better for me and is more playable, despite being on all of the lowest settings in order to make it run 'smoother' though! So it looks like I won't be able to buy either of these kick-ass games unless I invest in a gaming rig of some sorts!

I freaking love BeamNG Drive. I realize that it's much more mature than when you did this video 4 and a half years ago, but damn, I still fire it up all the time just to smash up some vehicles. I hadn't head about Rigs of Rods until just now, so obviously I'll have to check that out. Seems like it was last updated in November of 2016, but I'm interested to see what kind of mods have been created for it.

That car, i was using it in the -Crashtastic- style map, and i drove it from one corner to the other and when i hit the wall going like 100m+ not only did it turn inside out but the wheels flew off and it turned into a cylinder of madness and sharp parts. But. That was on my 500th try because i am using a keyboard.

i google alitle alott of Peopels think this is cry Engine but if you chekk GarageGames web site you will see its Torque3D game Engine but this PhysX is probly custom Programmed in c++ for that engine. its a cool engine not easy to make a game since torque script+ c++ but it does has a easy level editor: D

I was not -ripping- on it. In fact, I love that game and I praised it quite an awful lot here, and even said it was better than this in certain ways. However, I felt it pertinent to describe the differences since this is a follow-up to RoR, and there are a plethora of areas that this improves on it.

Did you look at the title? Or listen to what I said in the video several times? It is an early alpha build, and is nowhere near feature-complete. It is not a finished game and as such, it's up to you as to whether or not you want to play it as-is now or wait until it's done.

I have to get this. Immediately.
I think torque steer is when you have FWD, and too many horsepowers, then when you step on it, it'll turn the wheels unless you grab the steering wheel. Something to do with the tightness of the differential as well.

Would be nice to see this in GTA5 (they're mainly planning to sell the soft-body physics engine and using this game as a tech demo for it) but I doubt it will be in any big titles anytime soon unfortunately.

I haven't bought it yet, but i plan to. Quick Question, can you stack cars, like spawn 10 cars at varying heights and have then pancake into each other, like 5 cars in a row just falling ontop of each other
