I get more honest, succinct Sims 4 updates from LGR than I do from EA. As it stands, I'm so glad I didn't pre-purchase this game. While I understand it's a -new base game, - it is still a part of the Sims family. It's not an entirely new video game. Therefore, they shouldn't be too shocked when we're obviously going to be upset over basic things (ie toddlers, pools) being removed. And then they do things like have teens look no different from anyone their age or older, have little to no options when wanting to customize, or remove several careers/jobs for more unrealistic fields. They slightly improved babies, but have them stuck in a bassinet that you can't change. and then they leap out into a child? Weirder is an apt term, but it doesn't make it right. I want my -SIMulation- games to be more realistic than that. I mean, isn't that in the definition? -Simulation is the imitation of the operation of a real-world process or system over time. - Get it together, EA.

I've been playing since The Sims (original. I can live without the toddlers, the create a style, and even the adding highlights to hair. But no pools! It will be annoying, but I will still probably buy it, because knowing Maxis and EA there'll probably be an expansion pack with pools. I don't mind the -cartoony- look either, because they put so much into the game that making the sims more -real looking- might cause issues (or at least not matter) idk. I can still be okay with this game and enjoy it in full (I mean there's a ton I am excited for) if there are no (or less) rabbit holes. I don't mind not seeing them at work or school, but what I loved in the sims 2 was being able to go into stores with them and building community lots, or having them interact in restaurants and such. I enjoyed the sims 3 but was very annoyed that 90% of community lots were rabbit holes. I hope we can build community lots and there will be less rabbit holes. That is all I ask.

Ugh, it just seems so bleh x( I feel like there's so many things wrong with how this game is turning out, that its hard to name them all: /
Customization for clothing and furniture was a part of what made the Sims 3 re-playable to a huge extent (as in creating new houses, sims etc, so taking that away might make this new sims game a little more boring a bit faster (at least until the pool/swimming expansion pack comes out. Seriously though, why no pools? Its just bizarre /_\ And no toddlers? WHY: '( I would expect them to even add a preteen stage or late adult stage. :(
But ill still give it a chance when it comes out, you never know what they could add, or what can change. I just hope it doesn't end up like SimCity did.
But really, now how are we going to drown our sims in pools in survivor contests?

I really want to tell the world this!
The Sims 4 is just a copy of the Sims 2! It may not be a bad thing for the Sims 2 fans but the creators of the Sims 4 is obviously taking a HUGE step back! And you all can see that The Sims 4 will be exactly like the Sims 2! For example There is no free roam anymore! You probably have to call a taxi or click on your car when ever you want to go some place and the car/taxi will disappear and your sim will pop up at your destination! But lastly I want too say; It seem like the best part of the game will be the CAS, there are somethings I don't like on CAS like not being able to put designs on clothing anymore.
I am a huge fan of the Sims but if you are a fan of the Sims 2 then you are going to love this game.

Ive heard somethings about the sims 4 which dont appeal to me, such as;
- no pools
- no basements
- no fountations/ deckings
- no cars
- no more than three levels
- loading to get to different places in town
- no toddlers
- 2 heights = child/ everything else (teens, elders, adults)
I understand that its because they dont have money to make all this possible but it sounds to me like they are taking too much of whats been experienced and loved in the Sims 3 away.

LGR, I have a kind of important question to ask you. I've just gotten wind of the -No pools, no cars, no toddlers, and no basements- Scandal surrounding the Sims 4, and I'm really upset, because I was really excited for a new and improved Sim experience. They took out a life state! UGH. And the damn base game is sixty dollars.
Anyway, my ranting aside, I now have the choice of either two Sims 3 expansion packs, or the Sims 4. I really don't know which one to go with. What's your input?

Personally I'm not up in arms about pools or toddlers, because it's _pools_ and _toddlers_. Trivial stuff. If they excluded house building, I'd be pissed, but pools? I only use pools to fill empty space. The toddler stage was nice because it gave me extra preparation for my sims' goals, but it's honestly one of the most boring parts of the game, and they distract from what I'm playing for. So. Yep. Preordered. Definitely won't buy any expansions, though. Waste of money to me.

I don't know if I will like the auto save feature. Sometimes I save, then do something that might not turn out how I want it, and if it does, then I can quit, so it won't be saved. Like recently I wanted my sim to have twins, so I saved before she got pregnant, and she turned out having triplets, which I didn't want, so I just quit and tried again, then she had twins, then I saved. I hope the feature will be optional, and not implanted in the game, where you can't turn it off.

honestly I enjoy the new look and the new mechanics. I would be upset about losing all the customization factor but then again every time I customized a wall or idk something, my computer would slow down drastically and I would not stand to play such lag. If they were to implement customization I just hope the system wont freak out of the change and lag. Also if babies are getting legs then that means babies -might- be a mix of the toddler, just my intuition. -

I really like how objective and honest you can be when giving a review so it'd be great if you could make a review about the actually first -Gameplay Walkthrough- they just came out with, and as being an old sims player too I find several aspects quite disappointing, mostly with the things they've just been taking away from the previous games, but also I'm sure there must some other new good things that I just probably haven't noticed yet lol.
