Man that was a blast from the past, being a 2000s baby I love this dated design language. I remember in kindergarten we had those little tikes computers in all of the classes, I also remember seeing them in the Nashville airport. My dad had one of those weird pocket PCs, he is a higher up at Microsoft so we always had cool tech around. When he got it he also got me one of those -Windows 7 was my idea- shirts. Finally I remember one of my friends had that Disney computer, those speakers were the worst things on the planet. Thanks Clint for taking me down memory lane

Another good one that I owned (and still have) was the round oversized hockey puck shaped SONY VAIO VGX-TP20E/B. It was a home theater PC for watching TV and movies with DVR capabilities using Windows Home Edition. The ATI cable units using cablecards were bulky and buggy, thus killing off this strange niche market to run a computer on your TV. Even Microsoft later dropped the TV viewing function of Windows in later versions.

Hey! That cheap Dell allowed me to finally have a proper gaming PC back in 2003. Before that, I could only dream about having a graphics card and enough RAM to play years-old games, let alone the newest releases. I still have mine and am planning on restoring it to working condition to go back to play OG GTA San Andreas and Max Payne in all their early-to-mid 2000s glory.

i've used lenovo thinkpad w700ds back in the day. i think its pretty convenient and cool too, other than hefty weight and thick, but back then most laptop was thick too. the battery lifespan is average, like most affordable laptop. other than -cancer- monitor which was convenient to me, overall the laptop is pretty good, albeit weighing a little bit.

-The 2010s is where the PC industry split, with one side being boring, cheap, underpowered boxes, and the other being the weird, wacky, strange, and outlandish designs with high end specs. That's the side we're looking at today, with the occasional pc that blurs the lines in regards to look, usability and specifications alike-

Now that I think about it, the iMac G5 was more impressive in retrospect. Its compact size was an actual achievement. mainly because the G5 processors proved to be so hot and power-hungry that they thought it couldn-t be put in a compact size like that. But I guess you can-t beat whimsical design. -

The iMac G4 looks awesome, that Chumby thing is cute, the Prysma is certainly unusual, the Ottoman indeed looks like a weird porta-potty.
I really want an OQO since you reviewed it, and now I really want that Moneual I-magine thing, it's bloody gorgeous!

There was a brand called Lieberman, featured 'personal supercomputer', powered by AMD64 and Intel Pentium 4 Extreme Edition, and 92- LCD display, but the company closed in 2004. Hardly to find any remaining information about the company and their products

It's sort of funnyg watching this now in 2021, and Netbook computers are basically dead. It's all tablets and smartphones now (along with those still using laptops) but of the things like the OQo Model 02 and other portable handheld computers.

That Lenovo with its slide-out secondary display could nowadays be useful for streamers on the go. Perfect place to put your twitch chat tbh. Tho people would nowadays complain that the laptop is too thick if someone did that.
