The amount of dot crawl in this is incredible, also you see the dot pattern from the chroma signal bleeding into the luma signal. Using component video or S-video instead of composite would solve the dot crawl problem, and then only plugging in the luma cable and leaving out the chroma (color) cables, would solve the chroma interference (dots) problem. Also there's very visible combing, especially in the video games because of fast movement, so that must mean the converter box is not interlacing the input properly. So. better components are needed, though if it's only a fun experiment, it may not be worth it.

Cool. Maybe obvious, but it might have made more sense to get a hdmi to component adapter, and just left two of the cables unconnected, getting some dot crawl at parts cause of the color information the TV can't process well (9: 27 his jumper has little dots on it cause it's brightly coloured) component should doesn't combine them like composite does, and the image should be free of these kinds of artifacts

If you have problems with HDCP, look for the Ezcoo EX11HAS-PRO
this essentially emulates a TV with HDCP, but still allowing for the full HDMI compatibility, and is generally a very useful tool for diagnosing HDMI problems.
I actually know someone who works in the field as an AV installer, and he was looking for this kind of tool for years, also at a cheap price.

Bought a new digital tv and has a built-in dvd video and it works at the thrift store but dvs doesn-t play at home. I tried to connect a dvd player also that works in our smart tv but still didn-t work in an old tv says playback may not work in this disc. Tried different cd but still the same. What goes wrong with this? Your input will be appreciated.

I'm trying to find a way to do this using the antenna instead of hardwiring to the external antenna terminals since I have a portable radio/tv combo unit that I want to use as part of a fallout cosplay since the tv will run off of batteries. Planning to try playing the S. P. E. C. I. A. L. video on loop while walking around at cons

Ah, black and white TV. At 43 years old, I for whatever reason find myself nostalgic for black and white TVs. My first TV was a black and white TV from P. C. Richard's. Fun fact, you can probably buy one up until 1993.
But that hum, along with G. I. Joe, the Smurfs, and Duck Tales, oh so nostalgic.

I have a singer TV 6U television. and Would love to be able to use it. I'm contacting you to find out if you can give me an idea of how to get it working with UHF antenna. I know it might be a long shot that you will know. I hope I'm not over reaching. I thank you in advance for any advice you can give.

Imagine if you could have the Pip-Boy display on that screen while you play the game on your main display. That would be super cool.
Also, I assume the composite to HDMI box has an NTSC/PAL switch because it's cheaper for them to make/sell one that does both instead of one NTSC and one PAL
