I got this and tried it on GTA Online and Overwatch and I gotta say this thing is just awful.
Not only are GTA Controls suck on mouse and Keybord, but the button placement on this tac pro is just awkward. As in the square triangle circle and X buttons are all spread out away from each other, so this thing made it harder to play GTA.
Now it did work better for Overwatch, all the abilities buttons are on the mouse which made it really handy, HOWEVER. the aiming with the mouse was awkward as well. Even with the sensitivity of the mouse turned up with the buttons on the mouse aiming still wasn't pretty accurate. I had to scoot the mouse button three times to look behind me and by then I was already dead by whoever was shooting me in the back.
It was a nice attempt and hopefully Hori keeps working at this design and actually makes a decent mouse and keyboard controller for Console, but I'd say this one was a failure. I'm currently returning it to get my 150$ back, this thing almost seems like it's in beta, and definitely shouldn't be 150$, I can see charging 50$ for it starting out, and if they make one in the future that is perfected then maybe charge 100$ for it.
But the Hori Tac Pro is definitely a mistake I won't make twice, do not buy this thing. [0 out of 10]

I have one of these and it's great. for some games
but there is somethings that people should know to get the most out of it
1. the default button layout is terrible, after reallocating all of the keys I've managed to make something quite intuitive that works for most shooters.
2. It's best used with heavy mouse acceleration, due to the limitations of the analogue stick's input range making accurate linear mouse aiming rarely possible.
3. Whilst it definitely isn't a traditional controller it also is a true keyboard & mouse but rather something in between and should be treated as such.
4. It will not give you an unfair advantage but something akin to a Xbox Elite or Scuff controller, although it may make aiming easier for lower skilled console gamers.
5. Its a lot of FUN to use, I personally use my tac4 for a bit of controller verity,
or if I'm getting the urge to mess with some oddware and want to make some crazy control schemes: D
P. S. Tip: If you don't get on with the bundled mouse I recommend getting one from the original Tac4
(possibly same as the Tac3's mouse) its heavier, more ergonomic and slightly smaller.

This actually works very well but you have to not treat it as a PC keyboard and mouse,
embrace the mouse acceleration it's this devices secret weapon giving you a greater range of fast turning and precise head-shoting than you could normally achieve on an analogue stick (there is knack to fine tuning this) also I went with a wildly different control scheme on the keyboard half that works a lot better for console gaming.
Make sure to do the firmware update It makes a huge difference to aiming.
I personally don't like the included mouse but I use the older heavier mouse that came with the very 1st TAC4 device

I feel like you didn't test this in it's ideal setting, and as such didn't give it a fair review. You need to consider the actual audience for this thing, and more than likely that'll be CoD or Battlefield players looking for an edge against their controller bound counterparts. You would really need to test those game series, or other notable FPS games to fairly review this product, and I feel your selection just wasn't adequate. All the same, the information presented was helpful, I just wish I'd seen it in it's most likely scenario.

the TAC pro is just too expensive for what it is in my opinion, there cheaper AND better alternatives, this works best on PC, but it's still too expensive for what it works best on since there are plenty of cheaper alternatives that will do an equal and/or better job than this setup, on Console there are adapters that let you use any keyboard and mouse setup that are cheaper than this. the price point is the real issue for this thing, not the device itself.

I use the XIM4 to use a keyboard and mosue with my ps4 and xbox one and I've had a much different experience in many newer titles. The titles you tested seemed to be all pretty old now. Settings in games have started including options for removing aim assist and rotation assist. I don't know if its those peripherals or not, but with the XIM4 and my razer gear I have what I would consider an advantage over people on controllers.

Whis thy ban ppl who us this. Game like planetside 2 on ps4 you cant do any thing if some one us this or M&K and just hope you get lucky. Most of ppl who us this got kdr 9 or higher. And do things you never can do with controler its in same level als cheating.
You wand this or M&K on MP game go to pc but thy dont because thy to poor or thy suck vs some one els with same set up.

I use the older HORI TAC4. It has a simpler keypad and the mouse is actually BETTER! But you're right, a wired setup in your living room is annoying. I have to use my coffee table and sit on one of those gaming/rocking chairs that sit on the floor. It gets me low enough to sit at my coffee table.

I have a design very similar to this keypad especially where the analogue stick is located that I plan to build with a teensy board, finally someone understands that ergonomics are important. I'm glad this design exists but there needs to be a PC only version which should be a fraction of the price.

But maybe there are people having issues with their hands and are looking for a more ergonomic alternative for the small ps4 controller (it is made for asians I guess, what a tiny hands they have. So supporting K & M on a ps4 would be awesome.
