Are people crazy This looks like it's going to be a B movie yet again
The CGI is TERRIBLE! The trailer quality is absolutely shite also and it's looks like it was all done in unreal engine 3 or some shit!
The sleep pods in the trailer opening look especially bad and so do the face hugger snippets we've seen.
From this trailer sneak alone it looks like a college extra merit project.
Hype set super super low for this one after getting burnt from the trash Ridley produced, let's be honest ALIEN was great and everything else he's done in the franchise has been trash and he'll even the guys more recent movies have been pretty Meh so him singing it's blessings is like trusting cheap toilet paper to not get shit on your fingers.
I'll wait for the release but I won't go to the cinema to see it, been burnt by the franchise constantly since resurrection.
It's going to be as good as good as the latest predator movie or better frankly.

It's literally called in English ALIEN: KING. Romulus is latin for King. More facts to piece is it takes place 20 years after Alien. In Aliens Ripley states she left her daughter at age 11. 20 years later means her daughter is 30ish and maybe married with a new last name to hide the twist she is Ripley's daughter and this is about the king alien that impregnantes the queen we see giving birth in Aliens. The pieces of the puzzle are there. You idiots assuming it's not good without seeing it, will regret not seeing it in the theater when you had the chance before the next lockdown or war.

when i heard Alien: Romulus i thought, oh a crossover with star trek. aliens vs romulans, is captain kirk or captain picard going to be in it maybe mr spock. (i joke)
to be somewhat serious, i'll just wait and see how it comes out, i don't have the highest of hopes, and probably will wait till it's available for streaming. i was hoping it'd be on LV-426 seeing what happened to the colonists before Aliens. but at the same time, i feel they'd not do it right, so also may be a good things it's not (i don't think)

Fede Alvarez is the perfect choice. Don’t Breathe was amazing and I loved his take on Evil Dead taking it to gory horror. I believe his Evil Dead movie paved the way for the awesome Evil Dead Rise. Can’t wait to get back to the franchise I loved from the 1st movie(minus some of the stinkerslooking at you Alien3)

the first two films are my favorite movies of all time. there are things i enjoy in some of the sequels but generally they have all been disappointing or outright bad in my opinion. Its too early, and ive seen too little to put my guard down. hopeful yet cynical is how i feel.

I love the lore expansion. The weak minded have trouble connecting the dots and want their plot formula bottle fed to them. Some of us can take it all in and put it together. We get it. If they don't get it, leave them in the dust and don't worry about them.

Amazing how in the 21st Century no-one can make a new film only re-hash classics from the 20th Century. The film industry is such a over hyped business today, empty and shallow with too much emphasis on CGI instead of making the special effects properly.

The Alien franchise has never been as good as it was in the first two (and I'd add the third because I liked it) movies. All the others were sub-par. The franchise needs to embrace the horror and colonial (marines/war) aspect.

no. prometheus and covenant were better than the earlier movies. i really enjoyed the story of the engineers and not just mindless monster horror in space.

The series is played out IMO. But if they keep cranking them out, I'm sure some people will go to see it. Next it will be King Kong vs Alien.

Prometheus and covenant were good movies. They asked the viewer to do a lot of thinking which I think turned off a lot of people.
