I hate when ppl say that the Finn and rose plot was filler. At the beginning of the movie Finn only cared about himself and his close friends. He didn't care for the resistance or the other people. Them going to the casino led him to care about the resistance to the point that he was willing to give away his life to help the resistance and other people. Rose was the person that opened Finn's eyes to stop being selfish. People only looking at it from a surface level smh. sorry not my comment copy + pasted it

Nobody likes Rose. She is cringe incarnate.
If they wanted inclusion of an asian woman, here's how to do it right. Hire a hot actress with a martial arts & weapons training background. Then have her play a bad ass assassin or bounty hunter in the employ of The First Order. You could even have her character wield an old light saber she found for added coolness. Instead we got a short, dumpy, yappy lapdog of a character, whose purpose in the film is pointless and not even charismatic.

Will everyone PLEASE stop hating on this poor girl! Granted, she is a bit of a fixer upper, but why HATE on her so much? I didn't find her to be too bad. You see, I love Star Wars, but I hate the fandom. To be honest, the fandom is just a bunch of angry geeks who have nothing better to do with their lives. So please people, take it as it is! (I remember someone telling me to have an open mind with this franchise when I first started getting into this series. Now I know why)

She was my least favorite character, because she was just so pointless. She was just a goofy sympathetic side kick. And her little adventure thing with Finn was really annoying. My least favorite parts of the film. Especially that kiss, I dont ship it, there was no chemistry. The girl who played her sister was prettier and should have been her instead lmao.

Rose and Finn totally destroyed this film. I feel they had to include the token black dude and asian person. This is star wars not the united colors of benetton. if they contributed to the story and were good actors and the characters were interesting i would have no problem but they were just fillers to drive and already shitty story

I think it is okay to argue that her character was somehow pointless due to bad acting or whatever.
But when I read all those mean, insulting comments just because she doesnt look like a caucasian bombshell but just like a girl next door, I think it is absolutely necessary that the movie also implies diversity.

So she is a nobody actress who Disney felt bad for, and wanted to be multi-racial so they gave her a useless role in a major Hollywood film? Yeah. makes perfect sense. She was an actor in a YouTube series. big damn whoop, so was TFS, Game Grumps and more.

Disney Directive: We need Asians! Write them in! I don't care if their characters suck, write them in, we need diversity! The Rose character is one of the most worthless in history and way to forced. Weekend at Bernie's was better than The Last Jedi.

Am I the only person that actually kinda liked Rose? I enjoyed her story about freeing the animals, and I liked that she was just this little dorky girl trying to help Finn out. Idk, I liked her character, she didnt bother me at all
