#1 The death blossom attack from the film The Last Star Fighter was used in the last stand in Ego.
#2 When Ego's space ship is approaching Ego it's design look inspired by and probably a nod to the short So Beautiful So Dangerous from the 1981 cartoon Heavy metal

Fun story about the first thing about the shirt:
Ever since I first saw that shirt in the trailer I loved it. I thought it was the coolest thing ever and I would even constantly look up the design on google images just to look at it sometimes. But just yesterday, when I went to a strip mall I saw it at a hot topic and sorta freaked out.

In the scene where Yondu, Rocket and Groot blow up the spaceship then travel to Ego they travel through a universe where it shows Thanos fighting what appears to be a second Thanos. One having armor and the one who does not have armor is laying on the floor. Or maybe he's fighting someone else. Someone explain this scene to me!

Interesting thing: you never actually find out WHY Yondu's head-fin is supposedly a prototype, despite seeming to work a whole helluva lot BETTER than the flat one. I have to assume it was because Yondu just thought the prototype looked utterly absurd. Maybe he kept banging it into doorways, too.

The part where Peter is fighting his dad while they are trying to blow up his core and after his dad implanted himself on earth, the little plant blew up behind the Dairy Queen on earth and it stopped exploding and a car was riding up on it and when I stopped its Peters grandpa in the car.

It also cracked me up the fact that yondu was basically cremated fin and all. and in the end of the film in the credits Kraglin is wearing the exact fin that they cremated to play with yondus arrow. Minor mistake I'd believe but I personally found it funny.

Did yaw see the the reference to Mork n Mindy? It screamed at me when it showed Ego and his egg looking ship. Maybe I read too much into it. Watched that show all the time as a lil kid (way back in the late 70s)
