The problem with all the crow remakes were the lower budget, and that everyone put on face make-up when they came back from the dead. It made sense for Eric in the first crow movie to do that as he wore make-up when he was in his band. It made no sense for other sequel characters to do that. Additionally there was no real backstory development that made you care about whey the others came back in the sequel- which is likely where any crow remake done by anyone will fail. The majority of the movie viewers do not like backstory anymore.
Look at the mad max and mad max remake, the remake is a nonstop action sequence with no real backstory. Most of the 30 and younger crowd who watch it like that. Many who went back and watched the older mad max movies found them to be very slow because there is character development and dialogue.

Can Hollywood stop remaking or rebooting classic movies? Good lord, some of the classics like Escape from New York, is that it was low budget with practical effects. Movies that are remade with cheap looking CGI FX are horrible, like Ghostbusters 2016. And it's not because of the all female lead characters. I actually like all those ladies as comedians. And I like strong women who can handle themselves, like in Rogue One or Princess Leia, who doesn't worry about getting dirty and jump into the garbage bin. With the Ghostbusters reboot it was the bad FX, bad story, and bad direction.

NO! Just no! Remaking The Crow is NOT OKAY! That is Brandon Lee's legacy and they're stomping all over it. O'Barr promised they weren't making a remake, they would be doing a different movie, straight from the pages of the graphic novel, about Eric, NOT Eric Draven, and that Brandon Lee would always be Eric Draven. I don't care if they have the best actors in the WORLD. They need to leave The Crow alone. Make an animated adaptation of the graphic novel, like Heavy Metal, if anything. This makes me cry I'm so furious.

they should remake the 1983 film THE KEEP which was awful, the book is fantastic and would make a great movie with modern cgi and a director who actually took the time to read it, micheal mann obviously didnt and wasted a strong cast gabriel byrne, ian mckellen, jurgun prochnow and scott glennon a film that resembled the book in name only, instead of remaking films that dont need to be remade, remake ones that do, please!

Looper, there are very great films that aren't neither prequels, sequels, remakes or reboots. For example:
-Birdman
-Manchester by the Sea
-Whiplash
-John Wick
-Baby Driver
-Lady Bird
-Phantom Thread
-Ready Player One
-The Hateful Eight
-La La Land
-Moonlight
-Inception
-Hacksaw Ridge
-The Nice Guys
-Interstellar
-The Shape of Water
Aren't enough for you?

I like Mamoa. BUT! Not as the crow. The world is different now. The Crow was grounded in the cult styles of the 90's, that can't likely be replicated in a way that will honor Brandon - in my opinion. If it's going to be done it should be someone with more in common with Brandon's likeness. I know the crow inhabits different individuals, but the only one that brought tingles to my spine - was Brandon Lee.

How about a Shaft-Dirty Harry remake/crossover movie with females is the lead? It would be a more darker and violate version of each character. Since most remakes have females in the lead. Jennifer Lopez (as Shaft) and Demi Moore (as Dirty Harry) Both would be a great fit to play female versions of Shaft and Dirty Harry in a Shaft-Dirty crossover/remake movie. Anyone agree?

Uuuuuummmm. I will be seeing NONE of these! Hollywood's vacuous idiocy is surpassed only by the vapid mindlessness of the uninformed viewers who WILL go see this garbage. Thank God for foreign films and the indie market! Otherwise, film as an art form would be completely dead. PS: The Crow (the REAL one) should NEVER have been touched in the first place! So. STOP. IT.
