Biggest Unanswered Questions In Alien: Covenant Mister: 1. Those aren't The Engineers that David kills. At least not the military or scientific leaders of their society. The population seems to be gathering to welcome the return of The Engineers as if they have not seen them in a very long time. Probably two thousand years as that is how long it's been since the accident on LV 226 killed all of them but the one hypersleep the David wakes up.
2. Again, not technically The Engineers. The answer is in David's dialog, Sometimes to create you must first destroy. You guys really don't understand David. So much so that you were talking about David while showing an image of Walter.
3. Okay, you guys need to listen to dialog. The black goo is explained by David as a substance that can kill outright, like with The Engineers and the citizens of the planet Paradise (Killed by David in Covenant) that you refer to as Engineers even though they are not quite the same, or it can cause genetic mutations. Yes it's inconsistent, but it is explained in the dialog.
4. The black goo killed everything living on the planet except plant life. Again, clearly explained in the dialog. This was the black goo The Engineers had designed to kill the human race. I believe it to be different than the goo drank by The Engineer at the beginning of Prometheus that seeded life on Earth.
5. The mushrooms of goo death are just a byproduct of the goo that was dropped on Paradise by David. It wasn't a part of his experiments, but an accident of a very unstable element mixing with the planet's biological forms. Different forms of life react differently to the goo. As for the spores being a more effective form of reproduction, we don't know if the spores themselves can reproduce. Those might be the only ones that will ever exist, and the neomorph that it produces is not as strong or as fierce a creature as the xenomorph is. Perfect organism.
6. Yes he believes he is their mother, or at least their master. His line about breathing into the nose a hose pretty much sums it up.
7. Yes Walter is most likely dead or stranded on Paradise. That ending is complete garbage, no arguments here.

David's inability to command the xenomorph that spawned from the spore during his rescue of the Covenant crew alludes to the spores' propagation of genetically pure xenomorphs. Whereas the eggs are the result of David's experimentation to spawn a carrier of xenomorph propagation genetically predefined to certain constraints. David's constraints were to identify him as the Alpha, and most likely all those spawned from the spore release upon his own landing created a too many chiefs environment, cannibalizing itself. Alien resurrection picks up in the experimentation of a predefined biological Alpha by splicing human and queen DNA. A great question is how David was able to identify himself, an android, as the Alpha to the xenomorphs and where will the answer take us in the next chapter of Ridley Scott's mind?

1. The aliens made the engineers to spread there seed. Aka infect planets
2. He killed the engineer's just for the fuk of it. Hes in charge now. And theyd most likely find out what happend and kill hem
3. We made a difrent version of the goo. Weaponized it. This version he droped on the engineer's to kill them is the same stuff he used to kill that one guy who drank it.
4. The planet was empty becuz it was most likely just a station. For testing. Making goo. Or just a pit stop between plant infecting.
5. The spores are maybe made my david. Or just naturally came to be when the planet was exposed to the goo.
6. I think they trust hem only cuz hes a robot too. Aliens are like half robot. They practally fused with technology.
7. Naw brah hes dead dead

These questions are valid because i don; t think even the script writers had them figured out.
In hte initial attack on the engineers' landing base David didn; t use a variation of the black goo, it was simply a weapon that incinerated them. If you look closely at the scene, in slow motion, you can see that they are burning from within, not mutating or hatching creatures.
He must have released the virus on the planet later on. The fungus that had aerial spores of the virus must have been a plant that simply incorporated the virus from external sources - like an animal that was infected died there and the mushrooms simply grew on or near its body.

Some of the questions are really lame.
Aliens works in a hive format, meaning all tending to one queen and in a singular mindset + with the probability to live forever.
Just as how David sees his own kind, he sees his kind superior as humans and Engineers inevitability living organisms and can die ultimately while David & his kind don't.
The link between David (androids) and Xenomorph aka Aliens, are engineered for perfection with evolution effecting faster than humans or Engineers.
Anyway lets hope the next Alien movie explains more and perhaps gives a glimpse if Predators comes from Engineers as well.

Do david killed all the engineers so the machine killed the human makers. David hates the humans because of the way he was treated by his maker. So that's why they make the newer models different. So humans are still on earth or only on that ship that's left at the end of the movie? So where does David go to earth to kill all the humans with the aliens? Then of course he doesn't succeed although the aliens survive somehow because the timeline still goes on with the older ones. Like star wars. So what about that predator vs alien movie? How does that fit in the timeline? Am I right or close or what do you guys think?

walter was shown to be superior in terms of physiques and functionality so it's highly unlikely he would loose a fight. what if david on his spare time discovered that in his contradicting emotional states he suffered from he might have eunlocked a way to implement his conciousness on mechanical stuff. because we see david as a guy who is an intellectual atleast on thinking level. since he is not a human it is possible for him to transfer his consciousness onto walter without any hiccup. he would just need to be in close contact with walter which he was (once fighting walter and once when he kisses walter)

David say at one point that the pathogen came in many forms and that it either killed outright or spawned a hybrid form.
If you notice that the ship David & Shaw took from LV-223 was from the second temple in the row of 5. David said there were many other Juggernaut ships there. It stands to reason that each temple on LV-223 contained different versions of the pathogen and that the version that was on the ship David & Shaw took was not the same as what the Prometheus crew dusturbed in the first temple.
hence, the different effects when unleashed on the Planet 4 humanoids.

Another thing is why when they land and were in distressed that others were not waking up on board the main ship because they had to land. 2nd I found it odd that Walter didn't have something that would let the system know that there has been a breach to his system because he is still essentially a computer system after all. Maybe that is reading to much into it but I would not put 100% into having a android/synthetic be the only security while I sleep which seems like the case at the end js

someone needs to make a master script and put all this stuff together. BUT show how David was only trying to replicate a perfect organism from Engineer work(s) and natural existence. A talented screenwriter/writer should be able to make a cohesive, believeable, smart story out of all this mess that Ridley has ended up with. The Alien story is far from over, but it just needs to be executed properly. Heck, maybe Danny McBride can salvage it given what he's done with Halloween (or so it seems.
