The Ending Of Alien: Covenant Explained AudioAndroid: The Engineers in Prometheus are from the future they are time travelers that's why their are 2 groups of Engineers and why they look so different, the ones on the planet Paradise in the movie Alien: Covenant are the Engineers in the Present time. Elizabeth Shaw ask the Engineer why they wanted to kill us? what did we do? well its simple, we killed their home planet, David our creation wiped out their home world, the Time Travel Engineer looked at David knowing who he was? he was the reason they were sent back, here he is, right in front of me, the Killer of Killers. Then we all know what happen next, the Engineer unleashed a deadly attack onto David out of rage without saying a word, he had the knowing of what was to come. I think the Engineers from the future lost their way when they were sent back, instead of destroying the Earth like they were suppose of done they began their own agenda by trying to correct our path, that is why they were in our history. The Engineers even went to Paradise to tell their past race of the tragedy to come but their ancestors told them to leave and if that is Gods plan for them then they will let it happen, one cannot go against the Action of God. The Engineer was sent away and told not to return, so they decided to go to LV-223 to wipe out the Black Goo before David could get to it but something went wrong and they miss handled the goo causing the havoc we see in the hologram, they were all killed except one who was still on their ship in hibernation and when he was awoke he realized that their mission to wipe out Earth did not go as planned, so he would finish the mission and the rest was seen in the movie Prometheus. When David went to Paradise he carried out the destruction that was already written in time and the Present engineers thought it was their future selves coming back after they were told to stay away that was why the Engineers on Paradise were so mad.

Is anyone gonna mention that it could be Walter at the end. theres a reason for the part where David seduces Walter and teaches him how to create on his own. And At the very end of the movie when he logs off the mothership he says this is Walter signing out. Why would he say that. not to mention how would David know all the ships security codes and everything thats something Walter would know. Also at the end where the xenomorph is on the ship, I believe Walter is fascinated with the specimen and wants to see how truly unique it is which is why he observes the xenomorph to gain information. Side note on the planet when Walter and David are fighting and Walter has David pinned and David is reaching for the knife Walter has the advantage, and since no one was there to witness the fight there would be no reason for David if he did win for him to put the knife wound on his face. any thoughts!

I say send in those generation of Marines with Wylen commando to sanatize and terminate David and whatever nasty creations he done, but be smart about it because David knows your coming and whatever gear concerning heavy weapons left over on the Coviant he's going to have out automated as possible. Finally you may have the Engineers sending in their own military reaction force at the same to also hunt down David as well as not liking humans and having their own agenda, being isolationist with spread out colonies in other systems, but more familiar with what David did concerning the bio weapon of black goo. In spirit of the sequel it should be who gets David first and shuts down his experiments with urgency, but somehow you've got to show where the info of David experiments get lost or become a casualtie of the assult!

Nahhh, they were waiting for mother meaning the ship AI, as it is addressed as Mother throughout the film. With that much tech, a planet claiming load of hosts, and an even more advanced AI that can assist in efficient automation and mass production of David's work, Mother was inarguably the most important factor of his quest towards deification, needing only David's direction to become a perfectly optimized system for autonomous completion of Her new directive of individually waking the colonists ensuring every human is quickly made to bear Xenocritters, afterward assuring viable Xeno implantations within the thousands of hosts one by one. But commhanding the Covenant also grants David the tool of relatively speedy intergalactic travel, offering an unhindered propagation of his new species across any planet imaginable!

Kinda beginning to feel like canon fodder giving way to alien slaughterfests. I honestly didn't care for any of the characters, and even the 2 surviving members of the story seem to just be filling the franchises standard ending. It was interesting to see a man and woman both working together and seemingly winning over the aliens, but otherwise it just felt like the movie was the same as the others with hints to past and future (fairly predictable) stories. Granted, most of the viewers seem to desire little else, I wish they would actually work on character development outside of filling out their repeat plot. There is a reason the Chucky movies are still going while both Jason AND Freddy seem to be done. Hell, the new chucky movie even defied and broke its mold by trying new things.

I always thought David helped Daniels and Tennessee because he didn't want to blow his cover. He wants to experiment on them if he can. If he leads them to the alien and the alien kills them then OK. One problem solved. If they kill the alien then he gets two more test subjects. It's a win-win. That's why they showed David getting angry at Oram for killing the neomorph - to trick you into believing David was Walter later when he helped Daniels and Tennessee kill the xenomorph. What I don't get is why David didn't just nod and say yes when Shaw asked him about building the cabin. I suppose keeping up the ruse didn't matter at that point, but any moron could have gone Yeah the cabin. Sure. Yes.

I keep hearing all this bad reaction when Alien VS Predator is brought up, and I just have to ask. why?
I absolutely adored the Alien VS Predator series. Especially the one with the pyramid under the arctic where eventually humans and predator team up. They used the original ideas from Alien to justify the Pyramid and how it functions for the Predator purposes. It also makes a lot of sense that they'd keep coming back to deal with outbreaks since the Predators seem to want to make sure species aren't wiped out just because they like hunting them.
It's really strange to me that people hold Aliens on a pedestal, but can't stand the Alien vs Predator story.

But isnt Prometheus and Alien Covenant kinda already the reboot? While they explain more about the aliens origin their pretty much just both the beginning of( Alien) separated into 2 films it seems with David being added in, its like a different version of the same story with maybe Daniels becoming the new Ripley rather than continuing on to reach the same moment where Ripley and her crew first encounter the zeno or am i just stating the obvious and everybody already gets that this is a whole new story basically because i thought these were true prequels like the (Hobbit) which actually connected very well if not perfectly to (Lord of the Rings) looper

David and all the androids like him suffered from a God complex and that's why they were axed on Earth. he learned of an intelligence far greater than humans in Prometheus and quickly understood what they were doing. however, his hatred for humans spanned to include them as well since they were just a much older civilization of humans. he killed everyone and took over their genetic experimentations to create a more perfect being. or at least what he considers to be more perfect. and he will colonize planets with his beings just as the engineers were doing before him.

Prometheus was kind of jaw dropping and then the giving audience what they like factor came in the next time and it was just plain old scary looking alien beings modified and advanced by an evil super intelligent robot gone rogue trying to kill humans and end the human race by doing so. Totally dumping the previous concept of the giant human resembling aliens with same DNA structure etc. from whom humans descended from trying to destroy humans shaw wanted to know why but next movie absolutely ignored that part.
