The Untold Truth Of Turtleman Professor: I remember like when I was 5, this and Gator Boys was the shit that kept me going. I had really bad breathing problems, like I had to spend hours at different intervals during the day(I think it was about 8 am, and 6pm) using this big ass breathing machine to keep my lungs going (for the life of me, I can't remember it's name. I would watch Animal planet while using the machine. I watched Turtleman, Gator Boys, Untamed Uncut, and documentaries all day. I watched it while most kids would watch kid shows, I watched it while eating, after I woke up, I'd have it playing in the background while I played with toys, watch it as I fell asleep, and especially while using my breathing machine. After it stopped I was heartbroken because around the same time my other favorite animal planet shows were closing up shop, and after that I stopped watching TV in general, and I still hardly ever sit down to watch anything, due to the fact that there were no classic shows. They should bring back some of the good shows, I couldn't give two shits about Rocky Mountain Vet, but if they brought back Pitbulls and Parolees(I think it may still be on though) and even animal cops, I'd watch way more of Animal Planet. Tanked is the only show I remembered that is still on after all these years.

Well this is upsetting. ;-;
I used to watch this show all the time when I was like, 11 (it was all that was on and I liked animals and stuff like that, don't judge-. I sent him a letter once and I was so proud of myself when I actually got a hand written reply. :'3 It told us about a meet and greet, and my family decided to go for the hell of it. I even used my old nightgown to make a doll-
When we finally got there the guys seemed really sweet, especially Ernie. He put my doll up in the museum (it was a museum for him or something, and again, I felt super proud of myself. -, w, - It's probably still there if the exhibit is even still open-
It's a museum somewhere in his home town.
It's sad to see all this stuff was faked. Though, I have a feeling it was more like things were setup for Ernie to catch. I don't think he actually knew about the shady stuff. He seemed really genuine when I met him, though I may be remembering wrong (I'm 16 now, so-.
Idk. I'm just saying, I'm not sure if I make sense. XD Don't mind me-

Even if they put the animals there, Turtleman still had to catch them. I loved his show, it was a good clean family show. Most all these reality shows are fake at some points. The producers have to get the plot moving by staging situations. For instance if Indiana Jones never got in over his head and stayed on top? You wouldnt worry about him, youd be ah hes fine. George Lucas even said Indy would always be in over his head is what made me choose Indiana.

I don't doubt some of it is staged. What show isn't? How are you going to have a consistent show with decent production values from week to week by depending 100% on spontaneity? Guys like the Turtleman have the cojones and the skills to do dramatic things that other guys can't or won't do. That's always going to be entertaining.

Mother Jones is that you? Mother Jones is just hateful. So it's fake but why does mother Jones want it to be real. Mother Jones is a loser who is envious she can't get on animal planet. Mother Jones should go mess with hunters and leave turtle man alone.

I think the originality of his skills was his job pressure, then the media blew his acts out of proportion to put him out of business. It's the capitalistic model of man eat man that's the problem. Not man eat turtle and stage an interesting catch.

Everything before the show was real. However they had to place some animals in places to get enough footage for the show. They also wanted to release raccoons inside the bowling alley in the same town they put snakes in the pool.

I'm sorry to see the lies spread about Turtleman. He is a good person who fears God and loves animals. But, people seem to hate good people and try to bring them down. God is our judge! God is the judge of the person who spreads lies.

staged or not, 9 year old me enjoyed this show and stayed up late sunday nights to watch it. even if the animals were falsely placed and everything, HE CAUGHT THEM WITH HIS BARE HANDS EITHER WAY bring back turtleman

I got to meet the Turtle Man at a rest stop in WV. He was amazing. He stayed in the visitor's ctr while I got my camera, I got several poses of him and a couple of he and I together. Sad though his show was fake.
