The New Loki Theory That's Making Us Think About Infinity War Monroville: I have to agree. Just the parts where Banner is trying to turn into the Hulk _when no one else is around_ and he is getting into a fight with his alter ego just wouldn't make sense.
Now I _do_ believe that Loki isn't dead, simply because he was never for the direct approach. Also, on second viewing, I noticed that when Thanos had the Tesseract and broke it to get the stone, Loki is nowhere to be seen. After he fights the Hulk and Hemdal sends him to Earth, Thanos and his kids are ready to go when Loki just comes strolling from behind wreckage. If Loki didn't come out, would Thanos have forgotten about him? I'm sure he would have destroyed the ship, but there wouldn't have been a direct confrontation.
I think Loki slipped away, focused all of his power to make a convincing illusion Thanos would believe, get himself killed and is orchestrating something behind the scenes. Like the line from DIE HARD: (Thanos) WILL find you unless he thinks you are already dead. This is also before Thanos obtained the Reality Stone, so he would not have had the power to see through Loki's illusions (which may be why Loki orchestrated his death scene. If Loki was still alive, Thanos would be on his toes and could negate Loki's chief power. but if Thanos believes he is already dead, then why would Thanos suspect Loki using an illusion as a weapon?

My question is if Loki has been disguised as Hulk in the spaceship, then how he can be there and playing around using his silly trick with Thanos (Undying fidelity, seriously) after Heimdall already tranferred Hulk to Earth with his dark magic. I mean how Loki can perform his skills simultaneously being transferred to Earth and playing around Thanos? I don't believe this theory of Loki disguised as Hulk/Banner. Rather than what we can expect in next Avengers movie is Loki playing a negative role along side Thanos as all the survivors, the phase 1 heroes are entering to quantum realm for going to a alternative reality in past, when Loki was not good enough (most likely after Avengers 1. See, the point is the present position/condition of Avengers are really screwed. So, we can't expect more from this timeline. What may happen is that some kind of gathering around of all the Avengers along with Captain Marvel & Ant-Man, a bit use of PYM-Tech and go to some other reality in past and fix things. Even if, Loki is alive right now (only if we believe so, we can't expect more input from Loki rather than his last words, Sun will sign on us again, brother.

Exactly Why would he try to turn into the hulk when no one can see (that would be only for the viewers benefit) That being said Lokis big speech just before attempting to kill Thanks makes no sense. He is the craftiest super villain we have seen in the MCU up-to this point & It reeks of suspicion. If it was a real attempt Loki would never have advertised his move. My conclusion hes not dead he knows a lot more about inter dimensions and realms than we realise. Remember he has done this before & A Big Easter egg was in Thor Ragnarok at the end when Loki says Here I am your saviour & Helps the Asgardians walking towards Heimdall He also says Didnt you see me coming? Heimdall replies Yes Loki says answers Yeah Right confirming when he goes interplanetary Heimdall cant see him.
My point is where did he go? Etc. They could really mess with our heads here both him & Doctor Strange as you stated have this ability.

I think that MCU Loki compared to his comic book counterpart lacks abit concerning the level of power he wields thus far. But I think maybe the MCU Loki in the next infinity War will display more prowess or more powerful mystical skills than before. Being able to fool the mad titan and company with his powerful illusions. It seems to me that Loki's moves were calculated and one other thing someone mentioned before. he did not revert back to his ice giant form. Remember in the first Thor movie? When he sunmoned that relic and he reverted back to his natural form. Maybe if he was to truly die he would revert back to his ice giant form.

I have a much kind off deeper theory that explains why Banner couldnt turn into Hulk. In Ragnarok, we could see he has been Hulked for 2 years and the only time he returned as Banner was when he and Thor re-entered the shuttle Hulk was in to get to Grandmaster. Now that at he has returned to Hulk in space, it will seem like it will be a long time for Hulk to return back to earth since the events of Thor: Ragnarok. Lets not forget that Banner remained Hulk in the end of Ragnarok and the start Infinity War. So its kind off safe to say that Hulk is trying to adjust to Earth after 2 long years in space

Heres one, Loki is a lot older than we think in the start of the movie. When he gets knocked out of the rainbow bridge/bifrost in Ragnorak they say time works differently. Whos to say that Loki is not an old man Loki pretending to be younger to steer Thor in the right direction and he knows his fate at the hands of Thanos, meanwhile our present day Loki is found with no clue of what is going on only to find out that at some point in his future he will have to travel back in time to the junk planet and eventually lay down his life

I actually think the hulk's performance issues are a far more interesting plot device. Besides, the appearance of the Red Skull seems to indicate that all who peruse and use the infinity stones are bound to them, which includes Loki, Thanos, and Ronan the Accuser. I get the feeling that the really big crisis of conscience at the end of The next Avengers movie will be that they can bring back the lives that were taken when Thanos snapped his fingers, but doing so will also bring back some seriously powerful villains.

Loki is a shape shifter. Once he assessed that he could not take Thanos he tossed out a fake image and blended in with the crew of Thanos. He is likely working to free the other Asguard's, since after all he does seem to enjoy being their hero. I would not be shocked if at the end of the next movie he shows up at the end to a baffled Thor to laud his new found popularity with the Asguardians, who are likely calling him their savior since it was Loki that saved them while Thor went on a rampage to kill Thanos.

1)Banner replaced the silver surfer for who's crashing into the Sanctum Sanctorum as Marvel doesn't own the rights.
2)Bruce didn't turn into the Hulk during the war as the fight with Thanos onboard the ship was the first time he was defeated. The Hulk part of the brain was shy and defeated, hence not being able to turn into a hulk during the Wakanda sequence.
3)Loki is dead, even even if he's still alive, he couldn't trick Thor, Shuri & Stark, even with his immense power.

The Loki posing as Banner theory is extremely flawed. I can agree to the possibility that maybe his illusion was what Thanos killed and that he got away somehow after that. But in no way could he have possibly been pretending to be Banner. Why would he be arguing with the Hulk when NOBODY was around to see it? We see it in the park. And several other times throughout the movie. Hulk is just embarrassed he got his ass handed to him so completely for the first time ever.
