Small Details You Missed In Solo: A Star Wars Story

Alden Ehrenreich and Donald Glover were both superb, and I really enjoyed the small scale of the storyline. It pretty much ticked all the boxes I would want from a Han Solo origin story - how he met Chewie and Lando, the 12-parsec Kessel Run, the sabacc game, the who shot first nod - and had a great time doing it.
It's a shame that the movie's comparatively poor box office performance will inevitably influence its reputation, because I'd rank it quite highly in the series.

It was a decent movie, for one that had 98% of it reshoot and the previous directors fired alltogether. It was pretty predictable in what we would have seen and it never goes beyond ok. The female robot is the worst part of the movie and I don't think the actor playing young Han suited the part. All in all, this, as much as Rogue One, were movie that hurt more than anything the Star Wars franchise. Prequels always remove part of the mystery that surrounds the characters and certainly this so-and-so story was not the legendary background I would have expected from Han Solo. Hope they stop here, but I know they won't

Maybe Han's gold dice are just a good luck talisman, like the various items (fuzzy dice, rabbit's feet, rosaries, statues of Ganeshka and so forth depending on the cultural background of the driver) that you see taxi or truck drivers hang on their mirrors or glue to the dashboards of their vehicle. after all, the original Star Wars movies started in thr 1970s, a time when driving a big rig was considered cool, and his character borrows a lot from Clint Eastwood's character in Every Which Way But Loose.

The Han Solo movie was poor. It wasn't badly acted, just dull and predictable with a poorly written sript.
This should or could have been Star Wars version of what Guardians of the Galaxy was to the Marvel franchise. Fun, quirky and unpredictable and with a script to match.
In fact, since Rogue One the last two films have been a tragic opportunity missed. Let's hope the Last Jedi is the last! .R. I. P.

The Last Jedi just killed any chance this movie had. Even as a die hard Star Wars fan that will even defend the sequels I had to admit that Last Jedi was just garbage. Solo on the other hand was really fun, well cast, well written, and highly entertaining. Too bad I only reluctantly watched it once it came to Netflix because of the sour taste that Last Jedi left in my mouth.

I was one of the fans who loved every movie until TLJ and almost didnt see Solo. Damn near made a huge mistake. A Solo Story was really good and I'd love to see Ron Howard direct more movies. It may not be the best SW movie made but it definitely was fun, enjoyable and held that star wars feel that puts a huge smile on my face. Definitely would love to see a sequel.

The one thing that I didn't like about this movie was that the edition was terribly mediocre. Other than that; the new characters, throwbacks and twists were as entertaining as a made up prequel can be.
It's just one more movie under the Star Wars belt that can be enjoyed. Although it didnt brought anything new as it thinks it does.

I thought i was a star wars nut. i have only seen the movies. i thought solo was eh ok. i expected more story line. it was basically
just one. but now watching some videos i appreciate it a lot more. makes a lot more sense and leads into sequels. kinda sounds like they gonna do a marvel type of set up to tie everything in. i'm with it!

The lead actor who played Han was just average. That was a huge problem with the film. He couldn't carry the movie. The Solo character is a charming arrogant scoundrel. Not a whining little child. The android was the best character in the film. With sucha giant budget you would think they would pick a better lead actor.
