Why Disney Won't Give Darth Vader His Own Movie Robbie: have an idea for a Vader movie that would probleby be in the best way made: my idea for a Vader movie would be three years after Episode 3, going into the Republic/Empire expanding it's rule. so we would see 30 mins into the film Vader going from planet to planet wiping out any kinds of rebellion and so forth, then his new mission is to retrieve an ancient Holocron in one of the first few temples built by the Sith. Suddenly his ship is attacked by rebels and Vader goes on to take his tie fighter and make his way for the planet only to be shot down and presumed dead. Now for the real first time we get to see him in his most vulnerable state, he's stranded, his suit has some minor damage, traveling threw the dessert of this planet Vader would collapse and be found by some hermit figure who rescues him and brings back to a small farm looking familiar to the farm back on Tatooine. Vader would be given shelter by a young mother and her daughter until the sand storm passes which could take days. Vader after sustaining a few injuries and hardly being able to use the dark side of the force to help him finds himself without his lightsaber, his burned wounds exposed and the secret of his identity threatened. of course threw out the film Vader decides to except there help syncing he doesn't have much to lose. While being healed he learns of the father of the young girl had died during the Clone Wars and believed going to a planet far from Imperial rule would be an easier life. Vader now effected by the young mother's kindness decides for the first time to open up about how the Wars effected him and they were better off hiding away from such destruction, we get to see a glimpse of Anakin as he feels a pull back to the light but will never return. On his final days there, Vader's suit is repaired by the young girl who was skilled in fixing things. For a short time he spends some time with the family and tells him why he believes the Sith is the only way to find his true destiny, of course the family would disagree with him leaving Vader he was growing weaker by staying with them. the last few days Vader becomes cold and angry and would eventually regain his force abilities. finally an elite bounty hunter crew lead by a ruthless leader who had been seeking the Dark Lord out plans to come and collect the reward, meaning they will do anything to get it. Vader would be gone by then looking for the Sith temple and would scene there cries for help. he would return to the farm a very different looking Vader, his suit dented, his helmet exposing a bit of his face and his dusted cut up cape. He would do battle with the elite bounty hunters and kill them with just his bare fists. Relising it's now too late and the child and her mother are mortally wounded, Vader has really nothing left to lose, he removes his helmet and fights to the death with the main bounty hunter, after along and trying fight. Anakin would win by R rating the shit out of him to death. With his helmet off, Anakin/Vader holds the young mother in his arms with out saying a word. in her last act she holds his burnt face, feeling the tear on his cheek. A moment between the two were she see's the horror's of the Clone Wars and how it killed her husband. the family die, Vader buries them and goes on to find the Holocron, later an Imperial medical droid would find him on the planet and take him back to base. Later you would see Palpatine in the shadows having foreseeing this and smiles as he believes Darth Vader is becoming more powerful by every tragedy after the other. And soon all of that hate will strengthen his will in the Dark Side leaving him to becoming the most feared Sith in the galaxy. So that everyone is what i think a standalone movie of Vader should, its most unexpected but then agian the real story of Vader is not just killing rebels but his inner struggle with the Light and the Dark. that my Star Wars fans is what i belive to be a true Vader movie. also i thought it wouldn't hurt to get a camo from a live action Thrawn as well to add to background. SO what do u guys think, please let me know my replying love hear your opinions

The problem with the sequels trilogy is that it doesn't adequately explain how remnants of the empire(The First Order) made an appearance in the galaxy after the Empire was defeated in Return of the jedi. Why is it even called the First Order? The sequel trilogy is a disjointed mess. The stories are good isolated from each other as stand alone stories. But as a single narrative they don't work. Disney should have never made these movies. The expanded universe has enormous amount of material to draw upon to make tv series/movies with. The Old republic era alone has dozes if not hundreds of episode material. They gotta do Revan right. His story is best told as a mini series. Too complicated for 1 or 2 or even 3 movies.

And that is why I have or will never look at a Disney StarWars move!
Look at how bad there moves get when over running over endless series!
I could give you more then 5 great movie that Disney destroyed! There is a gap in the Vader story between, rise of the Seth and a new hope, 16 years is a life time for a filmmaker to make a story on one single person in any story series.
But as a real StarWars fan, Id be happy if Disney wouldnt make any more StarWars and given the rights back to Water bothers studios London, who made the original 3 movies that in my eye are still the best of the lot, and I refuse as 1-2-3 as in my eyes every else is just span-off of the original best!

i really feel like star wars should of went with a reboot or a new saga all together rather than continue off lucas's work id much preferred ending with return of the jedi and the prequels just to put a wrap to that particular star wars story while i understand the reason for episodes 7, 8 and eventually 9 i feel they just havent delivered and the stand alones were hit and miss too it would of been better just to start completely fresh once disney took over or reboot the franchise and reapproach the old characters and story with new sequence of events honestly unless episode 9 makes up for the last two im just showing my kids the original 6

A darth vader movie doesnt have to be complex. Just him killing Jedi, rebels and enforcing imperial rule with maybe is own side quests like reviving padme or trying to overthrow sidious would be enough. The comics are brilliant, no one would object to a movie adaptation of vader and his inquisitors taking over mon Cala or that tome vader tried to solo 7 Jedi in search of obi wan but was terribly out done. Just seeing him struggle and prosper would be amazing on screen.

I for one loved Anakin in the prequels. I don't get the prequel hate, they were good stories, most of which are better than anything Disney has given us from a storytelling perspective, except for maybe Rogue One. Anakin was not Darth Vader either, two completely different characters. Obi-wan saw it, Yoda saw it, the emperor saw it, and Vader saw it. Anakin Skywalker was weak, I destroyed him

His dumb takes of making Anakin whinny is what the prequels are all about. Hes a kid/ teenager! The pre-quells perfectly illustrate how different he was. Also this man ignores Anakin being born into slavery, being mistreated by the Jedi Order, seeing his mother and Wife die. Of course the film was going to have romance, how else would the Skywalker Saga had continued?
reply

One your first point just said he WAS whiny
The good thing about it is you see how far he changed
Two theres so many good stories with vader like how he tried to kill himself
Or his crippling depresion
Three you said last jedi and force awakens was trying to be new
Hello discount empire
Hello ray and luke being a reflection on obi wan and anikan

The prequals told us nothing about the parts of Vader's part that we actually wanted to know. No one cared about him as a kid or as an annoying teen. Put him in the suit, let him kill things and be pretty evil. It's not complicated. I guarantee you that me and my 3 mates could sit down over a few beers and come up with a good script, so just get to it already.

Two things, one Vader can work in huge doses. Doctor Aphra was introduced in Vaders solo comic series, which is really good also, Jar Jar makes a cameo in the Aftermath novels where he is given a fitting fate. That means a remake of the prequels would need to feature Jar Jar, but they could deepen his voice so its not as annoying.
