The Worst Overacting Of All Time UNDERSTAND: How can you compare Cyrus The Virus, Zorg, and Mommy Dearest to trash like everybody else on this list? Why Not Brad Pitt from Seven or Daniel Day Lewis from Gangs of New York. What is the Difference between Overacting and Nailing the Performance Perfectly. When you can't see anybody else in those Roles cause then your afraid they would give a Lackluster Performance then it's a Great Performance. Not every Movie Performance is for the Culture Club. Some Performances are Over the Top on Purpose in Order to Draw Attention to the the Antaganist or Protagonist in movies with little time for Character Development. They Got Noticed Period. Never put Greatness and Mediocrity in same Category just because you see Similarities. The Acadamy only pushes Shit Movies that Don't Sell for Awards. For Uptight A-Holes like you. Watch one of those Snore Fests sometime. Yeah, Like One in 12 that are Nominated are actually worth watching and it Brings a Diamond in the Ruff to the Forfront to get the Recognition it Deserves. But in the Same Token other performances get overlooked just because they were too Mainstream. The Point is to actually watch the Movies instead of just look at the Rotten Tomatoes score and judging from a far.

This list should be Number 1 on the Looper Worst Looper Lists List (say THAT 3 times in quick succession. Almost all of these cases were meant to be played the way they are and calling them 'worst' performances actually just highlights how badly Looper has misunderstood these movies. I mean. do you not remember the other overacting performances in The Fifth Element? Chris Tucker was way, WAY over the top. John Neville as The General. Milla Jovovich as Leeloo. Even Ian Holm gets in on it. Do you think that was all coincidence, or what Luc Besson wanted? The outrageous characters and overacting are one of the things that make it such a unique and excellent film. Normally you would never get away with it, but they managed to pull it off. In part because Gary Oldman is, as usual, absolutely perfect.

here in my opinion quite overacted roles: (well, i don't like these actors in general but still i think these mentioned roles are unwatchable due to too much overacting)
Leo di Caprio -Jango unchained, Revolutionary road, Wolf of Wall street
John Malkovich-Burn after reading
Al Pacino-Scarface
Joe Pesci-Goodfellas
And plus a lot of so called classic actors(mainly from romance movies of 1930'ss, 1940'ss, 1950'ss ) i find their acting by today standarts of acting ridiculously overacted, too cheesy, exagerated.

Con Air is supposed to be over the top ridicules and Malkovich is fantastic as Cyriss the Virus so how can you list him in the same level as Tommy Wiseu in the room. Gary Olmans performance in many of his movies are the same over the top on purpose so they are the best examples of overacting. You also forgot Eric Roberts in the Pope of Greenwich Village which was just horrible overacting.

To be fair, a lot of these actors were purposely over acting because that was what role was. I do not include Nicolas Cage in that group. But why is he not on THIS list? He is notorious for overacting and chewing the scenery. The only decent role he had recently was in Kick Ass, where the role needed the overacting, so he was fine.

Gary Oldman in The Fifth Element? He's got nothing on Chris Tucker who plays one of the most bizarre on screen characters I've ever seen as he camps his way through the film doing gay stereotype mannerisms which are just awful to watch. Gary Oldman's character pales in comparison to Tucker's over acting.

What are you guys talking about? With the exception of the Room, I really enjoyed all of these roles. Actors and actresses should be allowed to chew up the scenery every once and a while. This is far from the worst overacting of all time. I was expecting Troll 2 or Mortal Kombat 2, not these films.

From this list video, I take it the ppl at Looper liked the Power Rangers remake. You guys are in the minority, because that film was awful. Compared to the very first season of MMPR? Yeah, it looks good. Compared to any film nowadays with a similar budget? It's almost trash.

Malkovitch in Rounders was terrible. His accent as 'Teddy KGB' sucked the big one! And he lay down on every line like he was taking a nap! He did the same kind of thing in Joan Of Arc where he tries to portray a young prince, and he's about 45 and rockin a bowl cut! Jeezus he stunk!

Faye Dunaway is a terrible actress but I loved Mommie Dearest. Also Con Air and Fifth Element are great too. These might not be oscar winning movies but a lot of them are pretty fun and memorable. There are literally hundreds of movies that would have been better choices.
