Yes, Amazon's The Rings of Power takes place thousands of years before The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. But to immortal beings, what's a few millennia?
Liam: Rife with Canon violation with the reality of Gil-Galad saying that Galadriel and some elves can go back to Valinor which is breaking the lore as after the first age a ban was set on the elves to which Galadriel said that she didn't want to go back to the undying lands. And even the first few minutes of the first episode is terrible as Galadriel said that Morgoth spread over all of Middle-Earth which is a lie as he only was spread over all of Beleriand.
