Nothing could've prepared people for Mother! because it was shit. Seriously, Odeon cinema recommended the Emoji Movie over Mother! It currently sits at a 50% on rotten tomatoes. You won't want to watch it, period, not because it's stressful, but because it's not a good film.

When I go to a theater to see a movie, I want to walk away with adrenaline pumping, and my legs shaking from the whirlwind of emotions the film made me feel. If I don't experience that, I don't think it was a good movie for me. x)

Enemy wasn't stressful, just slow and poorly explained. Under the Skin was even worse about being slow, and that's even with naked Scarlett Johansen. Mother! Isn't bad of you know what it before you start watching it.

_mother! _ doesn't come anywhere close to Aronofsky's extremely nightmarish bad trip _Requiem for a Dream, _ which is more stressful precisely because it's more rooted in the reality of drug addiction.

I appreciate movies for what they can make you feel, but I've never been stressed over one. And I've actually struggled with anxiety since I was six. Is this a thing? Do movies really stress people out?

Mother! was stressful and intriguing but it made no flipping sense. It was a pointless movie that made you stressed and angry, no reward, no understanding and no satisfaction came from it.

I saw bug when if first came out. Did anyone else burst into laughter when Ashley Judd screamed I am the super mother bug! I know I did and so did several other people.

The only one on this list Ive seen was mother, but creep and hereditary are the ones that gave me the most anxiety. Definitely recommend those if you like to suffer lol.
