Mother! isn't so much as scary, in terms of what a typical horror movie is, as it is disturbing. It's chaotic and claustrophobic, very intense and uneasy to watch. For me, it is however, a masterpiece. I think the cinematography is amazing - the way it makes you feel the chaos and intensity of the movie, it really connects you to the main character. The allegory used is also interesting. It also gets you talking and thinking about what the director tried to convey, what the message was,
I think it's one of those movies that you either love or hate, I had to watch it twice to fully understand what I've just seen.
It's not just a film, it's an experience.

Veronica sucked. It was so disappointing. I really hoped for a better film. This was not horror in my opinion. It was a comedy with how bad it was.
Teeth is so good! Love Teeth. Even though if you couldn't finish this. Well stick to the scariest thing you watch being a chicken sneezing.
Raw was SO GOOD. It wasn't enough to induce passing out though.
Three hours! Okay I get that. I'd fall asleep during Caligula.
Awe Meet the Feebles looks ADORABLE!
I would love to see some of these though. Horror is a great genre. Now only if I was phased by films.

You guys should have elaborated on the Serbian film that one is a different level and is completely understandable as to why it's band in almost every country. I went to YouTube it after this list to watch a scene it invilves the r word in the worst form possible. so don't be dumb like me and go Google something not knowing what it is thinking people are lame and then be mortified for life and I only clicked on the top click that was like 3 minutes long. couldn't finish it

This is a sach a joke for so many reason actuallyI just wonder whit all due respect why you dont put on list as well Movies That Were Too Disturbing To Finish cuz all movies and content I finished and I enjoyed a lot in aspect relaxation nothing more. Go and try whit Ex Jugoslavija movie Leptirica this move need to be on list anyhow there is no scary movies only persons who made them so movies are not scare. peoples are very scary and mosters as well.

Am I the only one who actually really liked the Veronica movie? I didn't really think it was scary or horrifying, but I did like the movie. I really do not get how people think it is boring. I thought it was the opposite. In fact, I thought it was an excellent movie. I was hardly bored. Then again, I speak fluent Spanish, so I can understand it better (I know there are English captions.

I remember when my back then local dvd selling store had a sale. 10 movies for 10. Amongst them was the movie Teeth. I went into it with no expectations and it was. well. More hilarious than scary: P I was maybe like what. 14-15 at the time? No idea how people rate these lists. Sure people will always be different. But too disturbing to watch? Come on.

Martyrs, the 2008 French Canadian movie is the only movie ever I regret watching. I love horror and thrillers, and not a single movie is as disturbing as Martyrs. For months after seeying it I still didn't feel right. To this day I wish I never had watched it.
For anyone who's interested, you have been warned.

Veronica was 100% pure hype. The audience wasn't too terrified to finish, they were just bored as hell. If Netflix actually read reviews they would see it for themselves; but they are oblivious. The movie was nothing I haven't seen before. It was dreadful having to sit through such a boring movie.

Raw was a boring coming of age metaphor for menstruation. Teeth was hilarious. Human Centipede II is a part of one of the greatest comedy trilogies in the last two decades. Hereditary was boring. A Serbian Film is a misunderstood piece of subversive art.
