I know a lot of the 30somethings who grew up in the '90s with Spider-man The Animated Series isn't going to like my comment here. But let's face it, the ending of that series was pretty lame. Spider-man revealing his secret identity to an MJ Water Clone? Are you kidding me! Then marrying the water clone! Very lame indeed. When was Mary Jane replaced by this water clone in the series? Does the series even cover this in one of the episodes? Then, in the end, Madam Webb is taking Spider-man to find MJ? What ridiculous nonsense! Extremely lame IMO. It's as bad as the Dexter TV Series Finale. It's truly unwatchable. They couldn't have Peter marry the real MJ or at least find her in the end and plan to marry her as the series ends and fades to black? This ending to the '94 - '98 series ruined it for me. I can't rewatch the series ever again because of this terrible ending. Plus the story only had Spider-man throw two punches in the series. The 1967 version had more punches thrown. Jeez! What a joke! Yes this version of MJ was OK, but ruined by the aforementioned facts listed above. This version of MJ should be last on the list, IMO.

Wait what? I thought this video was supposed to be about Mary Jane. Why would you put homecoming's mj in the list at all? She's not Mary Jane this has been established pretty clearly. She's an entirely different character with no connection to Mary Jane. Is it really Because she has and goes by the same initials? If that's the case why not add in Michael Jackson and Michael Jordan while your at it. Don't get me wrong I liked homecoming's MJ but she doesn't really make sense to be in a video about Mary Jane considering she isn't Mary Jane. That'd be like me making a video about the best version's of Peter Parker and throwing in Miles Morales just because they both have been spider man.

I think the Spider-Man The New Animated Series (MTV show) actually has the best on-screen representation of Mary Jane ever. Shes got a great relationship with Peter, but is also really realistic. Shes not always chasing the guy, like she gets both aggravated and disappointed with Peter. To say she has 0 chemistry with Spider-Man may be accurate for Spidey, but its not the same case for her chemistry with Peter Parker. Something the MTV show benefits from is handling more adult themes and having the characters be like realistic College students, in terms of behaviour, relationships, and romance. Peter and MJ have the best chemistry in the MTV show to be seen on screen.

Yes her character is called Mary Jane Watson but with the exception of the abusive father, her character is GWEN STACY! The Gwen Stacy that appears in Spider-Man 3 is Mary Jane with Blond hair and Gwens dad. Anyone and I mean anyone that actually reads Spider-Man comics would know that in seconds.

For all of u who say that she isnt Mary Jane. she is but she is not the typical version of her they did this because she is black and by chainging her real name they were able to say that she wasnt her so the fans wouldnt be butt hurt but in the end she is Mary Jane after all she wouldnt be called mj and if u saw zendaya insta account u can see that she has put a photo where she wrote mj most known sentence face it tiger u hit the jackpot

The only reason most people care about Gwen now is because of the Emma Stone portrayal in the Marc Webb films. The original version of her was very bland and generic and comic readers at the time preferred Mary Jane over her. Peter and MJ are pretty much the Marvel equivalent of Clark and Lois from DC. The best versions are the original Romita 616 version, Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon MJ and the one from the Ultimate universe.

And you put spectacular Spider-Mans mj so low. Just because she is not nostalgic or apart of Disney does not mean she is bad. She was great in the show and was the most comic book accurate (besides 90s mj) mj of all time.
