The Real Reason Why Cary Fukunaga Left IT SingingintheDark: so basically he was being a diva and got the boot, he wanted to make a movie only he wanted to make and he wanted producers to have to pay more for it. I would have fired him too. prolly for the best since It came out as a amazing movie without him. he wanted to change the whole concept from the book and make it something different well then it would not be a steven king movie then would it? this would make it a rip off movie using a title of a book but not using the story from the book. either way glad he didnt make it in the end. movie was perfect without him being a part of it. wis studio would have done this to ryan johnson before his crap ass trilogy got started, because he did that same thing and we all know how those movies turned out.

i don't why everyone liked the remake this much. of course it's not a shit movie it looked great and skarsgard (sp) was fine. but it was jump scares and typical movie trope and james wan type horror cliche's. they didn't even bother to have him move his body in a creepy way. ever see the gif of him running? please it makes 10 year olds laugh. just because you were looking forward to something and it didn't suck doesn't mean it's this awesome new standard of story-telling.

I hope Fukunaga makes his own version of IT one day, just like what 'The Duffer Brothers' and 'George Lucas' did.
'The Duffer Brothers' wanted to direct IT, they got rejected and made their own IT inspired show Stranger Things
(Yes the duffers has said that in interviews.
And 'George Lucas' wanted to direct a Flash Gordon movie. He got rejected, then made his own Flash Gordon inspired movie Star Wars.

Take a shot every time the narrator says Fukunaga in this video, I guarantee youd be so shit faced you wont finish the vid lol.
On another note though, I personally feel like because his take would of different from the book, a lot of the people saying that theyd want to see it would be the same ones that would be slamming it and say iTs nOt aS gOoD aS tHe BoOk

It was not a horror movie, and there were few scares. They cut out almost all the horror and gore to make a watered down adventure movie; complete with a dungeon crawl. Pennywise only killed like three kids in the whole film. I'm hoping they do a better job with the grown up cast. Read the book or get the audio. It is nothing like the movies. That is real horror.

Id love to see the script for Fukunagas IT. Hes a very cerebral and thought provoking, talented director and Im willing to bet that itd be a more faithful and interesting adaptation of Stephen Kings cocaine fuelled masterpiece. In 20 years, nobody will remember this movie, but if Fukunaga directed, they most likely would.

Anyone else notice the only people who like the new IT movie are young kids? I mean really young, Im 18 and I dont think it was that great but my niece and nephew are 6 and 8 and beg to watch it all the time. It was like a watered down horror movie for kids. More like a Scooby Doo episode than a Stephen King movie.

Read the book recently and finally was talked into watching this movie. Plain simple. It sucked. Too much cgi and degrading especially about Beverly. She was in no means a weak character. You want a better It? watch the old one its a lot better and sticks much closer to the book.

Hes a good director, but he was going to change too much of the story. Which is fine, but he was going to change the names of the beloved characters of the book, and even do away with Bills stutter. I was kind of glad he left. Fans of the book wouldve been kind of disappointed.

I liked some of the cast, but overall, I liked the kids part of the story in the mini series better. This flick just felt like another Hollywood cash grab using King's name. Also, I really hate the unnecessary deviations from the book.
