Even though this actor isn't popular I feel like this role should be on the list:
Misha Collins is an actor that starred in the movie, Kara. Which was based on the true events, The Barbie and Ken Killers. He played as a rapist that would kidnap young girls with his girlfriend, Kara. Misha told his fans that the director was creepy and that he didn't want any of his fans watching the movie. He even cried after one scene because it was so disturbing and gross.

I have all the characteristics of a human being: blood, flesh, skin, hair; but not a single, clear, identifiable emotion, except for greed and disgust. Something horrible is happening inside of me and I don't know why. My nightly bloodlust has overflown into my days. I feel lethal, on the verge of frenzy. I think my mask of sanity is about to slip.

Poltergeist should've been mentioned too. Anyway, all these films are cult classics and have huge fan bases. Sometimes you have to feel pain in order to reach a masterpiece level. Alien, The Shining, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre are among my all-time favorite movies

I heard that with the scene in Alien, the cast knew something was going to burst out of John Hurt's chest, they just weren't expecting it to be so bloody. Hence the reactions.

I think evil dead deserved a mention too. A b movie with limited budget the actors and actresses did their own stunts and the props like guns were real if not mistaken.
