The Ending Of Origin Explained Shikha: Undoubtedly the series hooks you up. but 3 major flaws unexplained.
1) what was the dire need of the host to relieve the parasite into the other body. like Eric was doing and also Taylor attempted.
However Lana, being infected didn't even tried once to infect the other person. she was always busy to hide her identity also, she didn't hhave those bone breaking symptoms like all other passengers had too early. so, this plot was flawed. Throughout the season I was wondering that Venisha would turn out as alien.
2) how does that bloody ship worked. whenever the plot of the script requires the doors goes open. and shut automatically but never open from inside yet at times they weren't scared, access to lift and rings and doors were extremely confusing and funny at times. And terribly unexplained. It was like anything illogical can go and work.
3) when evlin got to know in the end about the life on thiya. and how the other passengers collapsed on an unsuccessful mission priorly held. then how come anyone be possibly happy to reach that planet. also, why did shun sent Lana to Thiya. when he knows all of them are supposedly to land on the same place. It was like sending the villain to the same place where you wish to be safe later.
Please anyone explain.

Its little bit late but still:
My suggestion about the warning in the end: there was a planet known as Iris which contained hostile creatures. After failed expedition government or military (or something like that) decided to destroy the planet (that explains why the are so much asteroids near destination planet or why the crew girl didnt find any info about Iris in the reports - it just simply was destroyed and noone known about it except army forces.
When the spaceship turn off the hyperdrive it face a massive field of asteroids (remained parts of Iris.
If this creature survived space conditions on the asteroid and an impact with ship - why cant it just get to Thea(or how the planet called in original) on the same asteroid? So this is my suggestion about what the hell is going down there and how aliens invaded the colony.
And sorry for my english.
P. s. you may ask - how they will be able to destroy the whole planet. I'll answer: simple! Its future: they have giant spaceships, hyperdrives, cryopods, colony on other planets, e. t. c. why not to have a veeery powerfull weapon which can destroy the whole planet. or may be it was just a non human action.

Really this video is a recap of what happened, not so much an explanation as everything was made pretty clear in the show. The time travel part already played a part; Every scene showcasing each characters past was them reliving their most vivid memories. There really isn't anything left to question in the show other than what the second season will bring, and even then you have an idea: the alien is on the planet, other types of hostile alien life is there, the organization is still active and will be a threat. If it wasn't for the message you get at the end implying the planet is a death trap I'd have figured the surviving members would end up dead anyway since they know about the alien life and they would be killed to keep it secret, but that may not be possible if the planets society has broken down and either there are no organized government remnants of resistance or very few pockets.
This show was very well done although they went a bit over board with the drama at times, just felt like characters were doing things for the sake of it rather than for genuine reasons. But it had a very Dead Space feel to it and I'm sure YouTube will renew it for season 2.

Prediction. If there is a second season it will probably introduce a new hostile aliens species or hostile human faction. While The Thing style antagonist from the previous season ends up teaming up with the surviving crew members.
The ending makes it painfully clear that the planet has gone to hell. But love or hate The Thing story arc. I would be surprised if the riders just recycled this same idea for Season 2. Personally I loved seeing what is essentially the film The Thing turned into a series. But still I think they will probably introduce a new enemy for the new season if there is one.
I assume the generic evil corporation is going to play an antagonistic role. They already were antagonists in season one. They did try to gassed them to death after all. But if we do get a (Season 2) I think they will be a bit more direct about it. Like they will be dealing with actual corporation characters. Instead of just automated machines.

Sam and Max are apparently brothers, and not freelance police.
. All jokes aside, when considering the fact that the alien parasite requires a host to survive, why does every other parasite brutally murder their hosts? And why does the one that Lana inherited have an existential and moral crisis and not the others? EDIT: As the parasite itself explains, I'm the only one -- meaning that _each_ parasite would have to learn their hosts individually, unless they are a part of a hive mind.
EDIT: How did the aliens survive in the asteroid if no hosts?
EDIT: It seems plausible that, since the aptly named SIREN Corporation seemed fully aware of the dangers, they deliberately sent people to this planet for their inevitable dooms, because. reasons. Ever since I heard the name of the corporation, I was immediately suspicious of what the passengers were getting into, and it seems it was justified.
I NEED ANSWERS!

I don't think the parasite was trying to deceive the others in a harmful way. Just like it said when it was inside Eric, it just wants to live. Just like within the animal kingdom (homosapiens included, I think every parasite has a different personality. As it travels between hosts, it's sure to carry human traits with it. Lana suffered from PTSD, and probably other issues unseen from the show. The hippocampus affects memories, but mental illness is a completely different part of the brain. It was acting more and more human as the show progressed. I think Shun saw that. He gave Parasite Lana a chance to live. With the message at the end of the episode, I think Parasite Lana knew Thea was infected. But maybe, since it's more human, it'll become more than a parasite and try to fix things in the end. Somehow.
Also, great job explaining the ending of Origin. You just gave a damn summary. Not what I was expecting.

It looks to me like the alien is evolving unexpectedly. If I were to guess it has human or close to human level intelligence but lacks empathy and emotion. As the alien infects Lana, it gets to encounter a wide range of emotions from fear, to love and a few more in between. At first the alien doesn't know what this is, but has learned how to hide much better in Lana than in Eric. Near the end it clearly could have killed Shun but didn't, I think it is liking the new to it emotions and the evolution that it is experiencing. I hope we get a second season and we get to explore the alien/Lana hybrid a bit more in a non lethal way.

Really loved the show which is why, ONCE AGAIN, another amazing series gets cancelled WAY BEFORE IT'S TIME! This one really hurt though. With the way it ended I was really shocked that it didn't get renewed for at least a 2nd season. The possibilities were soooo promising. This is up there with Salvation(CBS, getting cancelled after the mind blowing realization for the season finale. Really wish I knew where that would have gone.
Getting harder by the day to be a sci-fi fan when all they do is get you hooked on some great shows only to watch them get cancelled prematurely and left unresolved for all time. .,

The thea solar system is where the parasites are from. I think siren had or has a personal relationship with the parasites of somesort, seems 50/50 how they take the route. Maybe then the parasites took over? Siren is or was using the parasites for the blank slate and try to build there own world, then the parasites just took the place over. Sirens higher ups knew everything from the start. Shun left lana because he couldn't bear the thought of killing her and loves her and maybe knew if he let her there alone the gas system would stop.

First off, I watched the show and loved every bit of it (kept me on my toes and got me all hyped and terrified at the same time. Second, the reason I watched it was because of Tom Felton (who is amazing and loved his character. Lastly, the ending of the show kept me wondering about what will happen next? Will anyone survive? Does Thea become a safe or hostile environment? I wish they would make another season of Origin so all questions can be answered. Hopefully it happens.
Love you Tom Felton! Keep it up!
