- The X Files: I used to watch this as a kid and never found it that scary. Or scary at all, for that matter. It was just very interesting.
- The Haunting of Hill House: I only watched 2 episodes, wanted to give it a shot, but didn't like it, so I never finished it. Not scary at all, just annoying. I fell asleep a few times as well, it was that boring. I may give it another chance in the future.
- Black Mirror: It's a great and weird show, but completely fine for watching by yourself. In fact, I recommend you watch it by yourself, watching it with someone else would make it weirder.
- American Horror Story: First 2-3 seasons were good, then it was shit for a while and the last season (Apocalypse) was ok, but again, it's totally watchable by yourself.

Its a very very good show. But it isn't scary at all?
It masterfully creates an unsettling atmosphere all the way through all the episodes. Because of the building desperation of the men. Not because of anything horror-scary.
The few times they could have used jump scares, they turn the sounds and music away down. Again to give that unsettling feeling. Its a drama/thriller. Not anywhere near close to scary horror.

Home is hands down the very best episode of The X-Files. and that is an excellent show. The best season of American Horror Story is, arguably, season 2 Asylum. Both shows I have watched by myself with no ill effects. If you can't handle a little horror on your own, maybe you shouldn't be watching it. Just saying.

For me, the final episode of Penny Dreadful was one I HAD to watch alone. The performance of Billie Piper was emotionally charged to the extreme. Maybe it was just the parent in me, but I was was swept away, and even now feel my eyes welling up as I remember it.

The Haunting of Hill House is my fav horror tv series of 2018. I binge watched the entire show in one go(Although, I have to say it wasn't as haunting as I was expecting + It made tear up at the end. If u haven't watched it yet just check Ep 1 n you'll be hooked.

Absolutely nothing better than sitting on your own, in a dark room, and watching these (although I did find Hill House rather dull, not showing me anything I have not seen before, with nobody else to ask dumb questions all the way through.

I saw the British thing called The Terror & to be honest, it really could've been much scarier.
I hated the CGI polar bear / were bear / whatever that thing was & the madness creeping in should have affected EVERYBODY, not just a chosen few.

The Terror, one of the most boring shows I've ever watched. I didn't finish Episode 4. Not scary at all, bored with the drama, and there's something about the setting on a snow/frozen land that makes it unappealing and boring.

I listened to the book Sharp Objects years ago. Hated it. HATED it. The MC was so unlikable that it ruined the entire story for me. When I saw that they were making a show of it I had zero interest in checking it out.
