The Untold Truth Of Homestar Runner Crazelord91: Ah, back when the internet was a haven for weird unconventional entertainment where creative people could make things that would never have any success on conventional media outlets. There was so much experimentation.
You go on random websites, that could have been filled with viruses, or newgrounds or even Youtube to see some of the weirdest shit you never expected. Yah, there was TONS of garbage as well but it was all part of the unpredictable beauty.
Now everything is the same safe content. Except for the occiasional interesting meme, it's all basically people commenting on existing content, video game footage, or just some guy or girl talking about their opinions.
The wild west of the internet has become normie and stuff like Homestar Runner would likely not have any success in today's internet.

Shit i remember sitting in computer science classes back in the 00-03 school years watching the new episodes. So long as we finished our work for the day the teacher had no issue with us watching it or playing games until the bell. I think wanting to watch it was the only reason some of those kids even passed actually. They were horrendous students in other classes, didn't pay attention, etc but in thay class they'd stick their heads into the exercises and boom, homestar time.

In my high school senior English class, in 04, our teacher had us draw the dragon in Beowulf just to kill time. I drew Trogdor from memory, and even wrote Trogdor next to him. The class, about half of which I'm pretty sure got it, loved it. It was one of the ten drawings my teacher picked to put up in the hallway.

HOLY CRAP! I have not seen this in years. DO DO DO DO DO The system is down. I used to randomly call people at work from other peoples phones playing that and then just hang up and listen to them call back my poor co workers who had no idea what the hell was going on. Good times. Good times.

I sure did mash 'refresh' on this website a lot. Now I check it about once a year. Boy did it provide a lot of laughs, and still does. Due to my being in my 20's when this was popular, a lot of the phrases made their way into the vernacular of my friends. Good 'jaeorb', etc.

Homestar Runner is what I consider a very good example of do not cry because it is over, smile because it happened. All good things come to an end, and Homestar Runner has been a blessing to those who appreciate the humor of the Brothers Chaps.

I would go so far as to say that the Homestar Runner franchise is the definition of postmodern art. Rock music, sitcoms, pro wrestling, video games, there's hardly an aspect of our culture that has not been deconstructed in the universe.

It's been 10 years now. Where the heck is Level 10 of Stinkoman 20X6?
Also, fun fact: BMW didn't make a windproof refillable lighter before sbemail: dragon was released. They do now, or at least used to.

I still think of and sometimes use quotes from these toons, mostly SBemails obv. Ending closimonies, Englilish, helloquialism, lunch take. And that barely scratches the surface of the tip of _that_ iceberg.
