Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
The original ending was Spock's funeral scene. They showed it to a test audience, which obviously was in shock, because they said absolutely nothing and left the theater as if they where leaving a funeral.
Hence they changed it to how we all got to know the ending of the movie.
True story revealed by Harve Bennett on the Star Trek II Blu-ray.
Good they did, because that opened the possibility for a return of Spock after Nimoy began getting second thoughts about leaving Star Trek.

Watching the movie for the first time way way back, I thought Scott and Ramona wear meant to be. Watching it again and again as I grew up, I still think the right ending was Scott and Ramona together. but only because I think Knives deserves better than someone like cheater cheater monkey eater Scott.

Dodgeball, the original ending is the hero Vince Vaughn getting hit with the dodge ball and Ben stiller celebrating and then the film ends.
Test audience didn't understand the sad and abrupt ending so it was changed to Ben stiller stepping over the line and the new gym.

The Happy version of Brazil is just horrendous to watch. There is a dvd box set of Brazil that includes it with a commentary by a USC film teacher. It really is worth seeing for students to understand the power of editing, good and bad.

Blade Runner re-cuts were maddening. Everyone who was shown to have the orange light eyes was a Replicant, they show Dekkard with the lighted eyes. Now they rewrote it so hes not a replicant.

If I were a Hollywood producer Id put the original film out for a month then if its a hit put the movie out again with all cut scenes and different ending (once upon a Deadpool)

Great vid! What about Masters of the Universe? Had to change the ending because they ran out of budget, and started filming it in the directors house
