Almost everyone was a hero if you think about it.
Hulk: the one that brings all people back
Captain America: the one that still standing even he know's that he can't defeat all of them.
Thor (kind of): the one that suffers so much but still want to fight to save the world.
Widow: the one that make a big sacrifice so clint can get the soul stone.
Doctor strange: the one that gathered all the superheroes
Ant man: the one that gave the idea about the quantum realm
Rat (k. Fine): the one that push the button so scott can tell everyone about the quantum realm.
But in my opinion. The true. TRUE hero is the one that hold the gauntlet. The one that literally sacrifice himself about 4 times in every single avengers movie. The one that save the whole universe. The one that start it all. And his name is IRON MAN

A mouse, that was dumb! Some lazy creativity writing. It would of been better if the time machine had a automatic switch to bring Ant-man back. Such an advanced technology and No backup switch. Dumb! O another thing if Dr. Strange can see and travel into the future, why don't he just warned the others or stopped it form happening. The hold thing about introducing and having a time machine in any movie is pointless. Because they can rewrite the outcome that best suits them, like bring back the Iron man or kill any enemy at their weakness. NO MORE TIME MACHINES IN ANY MOVIE! POINTLESS

At the very end of Endgame - when Hulk, Falcon and Winter Soldier are sending Captain America back in time; you can spot a helicopter in the background carrying off a CRATE. There's a crane in the image as well and it looks like the helicopter is apart of the clean up operation however it's carrying a crate - not debris. This is placement. There is meaning behind this. It wouldn't be there if there wasn't significance behind it. What could possibly be stored in the crate that would need to be wisked off? I'm pretty sure this is a lead into a future plotline.

If tmnt was owned by marvel or Disney this wouldve been a great way to introduce them. Say some mutagin leaked from Thanos ship, or a quantum particle release either from the van or in storage or being blown up combined with Capt. Marvel's powers gained from the combination of the tesseract, light speed engine and kree blaster created mutant turtles and a mutant rat along with other possible mutant creatures. Marvel phase 5 tmnt vs the avengers. If only.

Imo, i think Doctor Strange is the real hero. He orchestrated the fight to buy some time until ant man is in the quantum realm the exact same time as Thanos' snap. If this didn't happened then the rat wouldn't have interrupted the machine or Scott Lang wouldn't have survive the snap. And he also surrendered the time stone for Tony because in all 14 million possibilities, only Tony can snap his fingers to save half of the world's population.

I am more likely to think that Russo purposely make the Rat scene as a way to tell viewers that God's way of answering to prayers are very unknown totally unexpected.
I mean in simole thought, God answers their prayers to win against Thanos. And that no matter what kind of being called themselves as Gods.
They can never challenged the truly Real One. In that Marvel Universe.

If doctor strange just said to star lord in the beginning of the fight that Thanos killed of gamora he wouldn't rage in the fight and the heroes on titan could defeat Thanos and then the only victim of infinity war will be gamora. So he could make it so less hard for everybody
So if doctor strange really wanted to help he just said something to starlord and anything will be fine

I agree is the Disney's Rat. BTW. I think that from a empathetic perspective it is noticeable that Tony was really triggered by the words said by his father when they met in the past. Howard complained about the fact the he always put his own business upon common good and for that reason he feared his (future) son was going to perpetuate his mistakes. indeed.
