Emilia Clarke Breaks Silence On The Dany Twist In GoT AvatarEnd777: If I could re-write the end of season 8, it would be this:
Dany, realizes her huge mistake and realizes that her destructive nature and power hungriness makes her unfit to rule so she proposes to Jon in order to unify the seven kingdoms and bends the knee to him.
Jon reluctantly becomes king to save the land and save his queen from herself. (The people forever fear her and thus all wish for the long life of Jon)
Sansa accepts Jon as king and goes back to Winterfell and rebuilds while assimilating the Freefolk in a larger stronger North that includes lands North of the wall. The wall is rebuilt as a memorial to the fallen however.
Tyrion is freed but Bran becomes hand of the king due to the Imps many mistakes. (He can see the future so can guard against any attack)
Tyrion instead becomes master of coin. He assures all brothel workers in the city are well treated and their children cared for or adopted by caring families.
Aria joins as Jon's Master of Whisperers (she can wear many faces and get any information she wants) Gendri continues to purse her and she gives a small indication that someday when her killing is done she might be open to a union.
Master of Laws: Sir Davos. His first laws include death to anyone who harms a child and free treatment for those with Stone Flesh disease (greyscale)
Master of Ships: Yara Greyjoy. The Iron Islands are turned into a merchant empire, buying and selling goods from around the lands. At Aryia's urging, the king orders an expedition West of Westeros where they find a continent full of resources which makes them rich.
Kingsguard: Brienne is made the first woman to serve as Kings guard.
Grand Maester: Samwell perfects the treatment of Greyscale and specializes in the treatment of all who have it. He goes on to write many books on the treatment of disease and the history of the seven kingdoms. He has many children who all respect and adore him, save one.
The Dothraki become the horse masters of Kings Landing and train the army in their way of warfare. Many learn the language and are granted land and titles but continue to fight against the expected prejudice of the locals. Some return home. Others turn rogue from boredom when the warfare has ended and must be hunted for justice.
The Unsullied: They are given permanent status in the city. Some turn in their spears but because they cannot father children become the protectors of children and orphans overseeing adoption and orphanages. Others serve as justice and oversee the city watch, protect the orphanages, and brothels, and serve as bodyguards to those needing assistance. They police Kings Landing and the surrounding areas, keeping it safe from bandits and cut throats. They will go on to train the special forces of King's Landing to perpetuate the next generation of protection from foreign invaders.
Dany and Jon have 5 children and their oldest son, Ned Targaryen rules the peace for the years to some.
I could take this series to forever!

Lover using that term loosely and WHAT WAS THE TWIST. After watching the shit show that was episode 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 it was hardly a twist. Besides the bs that was her being suddenly crazy and butchering her character do you guys who are Dany fans like me really believe she'd have a teen love romance with Jon, like Dany? Dany! Jon, Jamie, Tyrion and Dany were butchered this season and honestly, I'm just trying to forget it and start reading the books. I don't care if it happened in the show I don't buy anything that happened this season and what was the point of Jon being Targaryen? So, Drogon wouldn't burn him? I am happy the Emilia was also shocked after reading the script because I genuinely felt bad for her actor, but honestly, Dany was a shy young girl when the season started but it changed so quickly and you saw her true colours. I honesltly wish I never watch past s5 after the finale. There is so much wrong with the season. Sorry for the rant but most of my friends who watch either think it is good or hate it and want to never acknowledge it again.

Better ending: lost at Winterfell and survivor retreat south and more kingdoms fell. Deny's remaining force and refugees surrounded King's Landing as freezing weather closing in. Cersei refused to open the gates so Jamie and a few decided to sneak in and kill Cersei because saving the city and refugees more important. Westeros made their last stand at King's Landing. As the battle is going south and fighting done house to house, they use the gunpowder under King's Landing for scorched earth as they retreat to prevent the dead from being raised. So many defenders are dead all women and children pick up weapons and at this time, Dorne and the Reach send whatever militia they can assemble arrived while Daario Naharis shows up with a small fleet to the harbor and provide heavy artillery support. We learn Bran can read the Night's King as he is near so he sent the raven to seek help from everyone.

I believe Daenerys would have accepted Jon's claim to the throne if he hadn't been such a coward and more of a true King. Daenerys respected bold, intelligent men. But Jon was neither bold nor smart, at least not throughout the latest seasons. He would have lost the battles of Winterfell and the battle against the Night King, had it not been for Sansa and Arya. It would have been a wise move to marry Daenerys and create a balance of power, fire and ice. Instead he was blabbing his secret to his sisters, the one thing he was specifically asked NOT to do by his queen (and why did he tell them, if he didn't want the throne, creating tension and distrust. I wish Grey Worm had executed him and Tyrion, because they were traitors and cowards. Jon did not even fight her but stab her in a moment of vulnerability and trust. It's just so dishonorable.

It was too rushed and the writers threw away something that they will never get again i mean you dont really think there gonna write something better than lucas films. They basically looked a gift horse in the face and you know the rest of it. I guarantee they will butcher star wars, i mean common after the got hate they got plus star wars loosing its quality and people being pretty defensive ahhhhhhh they are definitely not gonna get a fair shake, it will make money because people love star wars but definitely not cause of writing from the 2. Its over for them they will have to pull a hail mary in order to bounce back they burnt there fan base and star wars fan base is even more ruthless sooooooooo.

I have no problem with her going mad. She was a Targaryen and she did some evil/harsh things in the past. But, they didnt lead up to her officially going mad sufficiently. Thats for sure. She showed that she was capable of doing bad things. But, it doesnt make sense for her to go mad on Kings Landing just because Cersei didnt surrender or because she beheaded Missandei of the Island of Naath. She was supposed to break the wheel and show the world a better alternative to totalitarianism/dictatorial government. They didnt show her deviating from that mentality. Well, outside of her showing her hair messed up and looking downtrodden in S8E5, I guess.

I want to see the transcripts for the people that didnt see this coming, because theyre very dumb. This was the most telegraphed twist in the entire show. There are almost no moments in her character arc that DONT point to this. Every stop on her journey shes brutally murdering people in righteous indignation. Did you think her heart was suddenly going to soften when she got real power? I genuinely dont understand how such obtuse people even followed the show to begin with.

Im sorry. were people actually shocked at all by the final episode? me and my mam had it all called for seasons bar bran getting named king, we thought the night king would get him. but besides that, even down to drogon melting the throne, definatly jon killing dany, sansa becoming queen and arya going into the west. Even there and back again, a hobits tail by bilbo bagins. called it all. still enjoyed the episode, sorry correct myself the season. no hatred from me.

Let George RR Martin write Winds of Winter - then HBO can make a series called The Winds of Winter - > invite Emilia Clarke back to play the same role, she can accept hopefully.
Then let George write Dream of Spring -> Repeat. Problem solved.
HBO does not have to say -anything- about the last 3 seasons of GOT. Just ignore it. because, except for 3 legitimately brilliant episodes including - Battle of the Bastards - and the Door - we already ignore it.

I still dont get how people argue about that Twist it was obvious she would die through whole season 7 and maybe eben 6, it became mostly obvious that jon would kill her in all of this season, it was obvious too that she would be the/a mad queen from the moment she first came into the show. i still dont get how any1 can call that a twist, if some1 really thought she would end up on the throne i dont know any argument they had to make them believe that
