The Real Reason Why Chris Hemsworth Said No To Star Trek 4 Robert: I don't like time travelling stories anymore. It seems that Hollywood ideas are only around prequels, reboots and crossovers with established things from the past. I don't give a cent to watch Kirk meet his father. I want to see stories of the future, not the past. But somehow the whole american culture seems to be stuck in the past reviving old TV-series, reviving old fashion trends, bringing back old flavors of food. Where is the nation to envision a NEW future? Why is everybody trying to bring the good old days back? (which they weren't if you are honest. Sorry, but a new Star Trek movie should feature Captain James T. Kirk in a interesting adventure to explore strange NEW worlds, to seek out new life forms and NEW civilisations and bold go where no-one has gone BEFORE!

The reason Hemsworth was announced so early was to court the Chinese investors. 'wait don't walk out yet. we got THOR! ' good for Hemsworth to have enough integrity, that he wont put his name on the line to be a marketing ploy, for Paramount to get more after they lost their investors. There are guys waiting tables and parking cars that would KILL to have their names anywhere on the marquee of a major motion picture. even established vets, that would not turn down a payday and top billing, no matter what. Hemsworth is 'Worthy'

I doubt many fans are hoping for a return to the JJ Abrams version of Star Trek.
Star Trek was about exploration, discovery and science. Even the original movies did not actually have very much action in them, just well articulate stories in a fleshed out world. It started to fall before Abrams, but he for sure finished it off.

they killed it with shit writing
AS ALWAYS
THE PLAYS THE THING
the last two movies where shit
and they depleted the little momentum the franchise still had
CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR SHITTY WORK DUMB ASSES
it dosent take much to make a successful star trek movie
JUST A GOOD STORY

His lawyers and agent would have had him turn it down. Hemsworth can't take a pay cut for a big film without negatively affecting future contracts. Small art films are a different matter. Same for Pine. The franchise is in trouble, and the odds of another flop are too risky for the Chinese investors.

They prolli wouldnt let him do the script his way and turn it into a garbage joke of a movie like MCU played out. And I'm perfectly fine with that. If he had it his way we'd find out he never died and just decided to chill with the bros drinking beer and playing video games.

lol overrated superhero movies or Star Trek its a no brainer. Stick to the best get back into Star Trek, you were passable as Thor but much better in a captains seat, which by the way is more believable than this superhero shit.

I agree to withdraw from this failed series of ridiculous movies of JJ Abrams with the boy Pine who does not have the role, Star Trek is more than that I think it is very big to achieve what Ronddenberry created

We literally saw his living body on the short acceleration trip of becoming a dead body by violent deceleration against the main screen.
He was killed in, like, 10 different ways when the ship exploded.

I'm so glad the tides have changed. Star Trek is back to a television series, well sort of. So excited for Picard. Hoping it'll lead to The Captains movie. Also hope Janeway makes a return at some point.
